itunes for windows! Thread

i've recently downloaded the new itunes for windows and have fallen in love with it. what are your opinions on this program? it may be a bit bulkier than other mp3 players... but this program does much more than just play music. I think I found my winamp replacement

Winamp is good, what's so good about itoons?

i wanted a change from winamp. i used to hold a huge grudge against it. so i made a switch to coolplayer years ago. when i upgraded to XP, i made the mistake of encoding to wma... coolplayer didn't like that. i made a switch back to winamp. it was alright. now, they're including all sorts of crap that make it very unstable for me. so... my vendetta against winamp is approaching full force. i made the switch to itunes, because... i simply like mac products. i like the fact that it organizes my music by artist as a default option. it also gets rid of the annoying gap between songs by default. MY LIVE ALBUMS SOUND LIKE THEY WERE MEANT TO! visualizations don't run like complete ass for me. I just like it so much. I found my replacement.

I just wanted other people's opinions.

iTunes can rip MP3's, burn em, you can subscribe to an internet account to download legal MP3's (Costs though, hardly anything). I like iTunes too, I have to on my mac, but hasn't been available for PC until now!

Where do I get it for my PC?!?!? I love iTunes, I have it on my laptop, Please tell me where I can get it.

Winamp runs wonderfully on my PC, I have no need to use something else.

so you're not even gonna try it? hmm... I love winamp too.. but I'm gonna try it. Hopefully it's good. I like mac stuff as well... my winamp is a mac skin, so why not try the real thing?

let me just state this.... winamp is your standard media player. itunes is a media JUKEBOX.

I just tried it... make sure you have no WMA. it dies if you try and import one. also... make sure you run msconfig afterwards.. otherwise you get liek 4 more processes at startup

Yeah Macintosh loves giving you startup processes. I tried to install it and got some runtime error, so it isn't working. Anyone else have this problem? It seems weird since I got the completed download.

Well, I'm stuck with Winamp until next month when I get my downloads reset. Hows it been going for you people here?

hmm. my install worked flawlessly. for you people having problems, i'm gonna blame it on a shitty system... my athlon xp 2100+ runs it nicely. and it doesn't even make an attempt at importing wma files... it simply doesn't notice them. so uhh... i'm just going to blame it on your systems. my system isn't quite godly either... but it's there. and iTunes rox0rz my box0rz

The only person here that needs to be told to listen to more music is T-RonX. For the last 3 months he has only listened to Metallica, and that is not healthy.

I haven't heard of iTunes because I don't care for Mac products that much, they always want to become regular programs on my PC and create all these mini processes that run all the time. And to be honest if *.mov wasn't a format I'd never even have QuickTime.

I love iTunes, and am very glad it's on PC now, I'm listening to it right now!
