Are you sure?

"Professional" programmers, the one who works for money, will want a quite large sum of money. Do you also know if you mod for half-life you can not sell the mod, the mod must remain free?

If i was you i wouldn't pay someone to program your mod for you. if your idea is good programers, should be at least, willing to help you out. seeing how you, "have all 3D robot/weapon/map graphic ready in 3D studio max.", i'm not a mapper but i don't think its possible to map in 3ds and compile them to bsp.

anyways, good luck with your mod. don't spend money on finding a programmer. if your idea is good then people are likely to jump aboard and help you; think of it as a natural way to evaluate mods.

I dont have much exp in game programming.. I want to find helper to finish this game.. do you have any suggestion other then mod game dev ? Thanks.

i don't think you can distribute this mod with the quake 3 engine unless you buy a license.
most engines, half-life, tribes 2 one, UT, or quake 3 cost money to create games with. if you want you can try torque, tribes 2 engine, its fairly affordable and thats all i know. Oh, also the community seems to be big and helpful.

*EEK!* Q3A is very expensive to license, either stick with mods or use a free engine such as Q1 or Genesis3D ;)!

100, 000 dollars is a lot of money. unless your game idea is great i wouldn't take the risk.

Or just get the Quake 1 Source modifie it to your needs and use that. You wouldn't be able to sell it, you still need permission from Id Software.
