Here it's not even 10:30 am, and it's already 90 with a heat index of 96. What the hell is wrong with the United States? Post your record summer highs! Edited by: Sticky |

You're in the US? I thought you were in the UK. Oh well. We had about 30 celcius.... My uncle's stationed in Iraq - the other day it was 45-50 degrees celcius down there. --

Not that hot here, but in new Orleans we got 110 before noon one time, 120 was the high that day. Jesus, I can still remember making a grilled cheese sandwhich by putting a quarter stick of butter on the lid of a pot and sticking it on the balcony... yeah I could have cooked eggs on the sidewalk if I did not intend to eat them. |

100 outside with a freaking heat index of 105. Even my eyes are sweating! Which is what they'd be doing if I was outside. Yay for A/C huh? |

It's 97 degrees outside, but there's a heat index of 112. Ha, I beat you. I did a lot of things outside today. I went to the mall with my mom and brother, bought a new TV, media center (wooden frame thingy), and DVD player, and when we were done, since the TV was in a big box, a woman and I had to stand outside of Target while we waited for my mother to pull the car around so we could put it inside. The thing is, is that the car was on the other side of the mall, and my mom also had to find and grab my brother. We (me and the woman) spent about 20 minutes chatting while sweating profusely, until my mother got there. Then we had to fit everything inside the car, which took another 5 minutes. Not fun to do. I felt like I had just been in a workout. -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

Yeah...but it's really dry there. "It's not the heat, it's the humidity" is a true statement. |

according to the latest nickelodeon magazine (i read a portion while waiting for mother to check out at the store) you cant cook eggs on a sidewalk, as the hottest sidewalks are on average 30 degrees too cool but i spose it could be done on a metal car hood. if you want bird shit n' stuff in them. |

I will take humidity over this crap anyday, I've lived on both coasts and inbetween, and that statement is bullcrap... Edited by: Spector -- snetErz.com - Web Design |

Well, all you melted people, we're getting between 16 and some nice low 20's for the middle of Winter. It's been the best Winter I have ever experianced. As for record highs, I think the highest I've been in would be around 40 degrees celsius. |

It's been a little too warm for winter. But the highest it's been here is 48 degrees celcius. I was glad I was away on holidays when it happened -- There are no more original ideas. You just have to hope your ripoff is better than everyone elses. |

Ehhh... I think the record low for Wichita was (Shut up Ippo. I know you've gotten lower than we have.) about 25 below zero. But the coldest wind chill ever was about 50 degrees below zero. (All figures in Farenheit.) |

Today: Sunny and even hotter with highs of from 99 to 103. Afternoon heat indices of 110 to 120. Whoever thinks that mid-america has a temperate climate obviously hasn't been to the cesspool of the jet stream, St. Louis. -- Pez says: |
