Wouldn't it be cool if you could have multiplayer hockey on the source engine? it could have like ppl in the 3rd person feel team multiplayer. and the goalie would have different buttons to do different saves. that'd be awesome.

I was thinking about this today actually - I would like to see it like the old Wayne Gretzky hockey for the N64...that was a fun game.

There isn't much media online for this game anymore. It is like an updated verson of the old Blades of Steel game for the NES.

Yes. If you looked at the mod as if it were a full fledged project with all of the necessary team members, and it had been around years without updating any content, then I would agree. Fortunately for us, we've been around for just a short while. It was my mistake to not get a website up before I started the mod. We are really focusing on that right now. Maps are coming along nicely. I'd love to show off some models of hockey players and the like, but I just don't have that right now. btw Positions are open for all the jobs, ahem -- Modelers, Sound Techs, Coders... sorry had to advertise. :).

Thank you for the Criticism... really, It gives us something to build on, look back at. I would really recommend anyone who wants to be part of a hockey mod, or that has any ideas about what should be in the mod, to tell us, yell at us... whatever... please contribute is what I'm saying :).

Anyways, we are dedicated to making a classy and realistic mod. You won't see Marlon Brando on skates. Wayne Gretzky with a football is not a concept. That's just meant to be stuff you can "lol" to. :)

what about the NHLPA? do you use only imaginated players or real ones? just as the NHLPA is a jumpy beast.

Mar 13 2005 Anchor

the players should be just the players of the game. in the actual game, each individual player, will be an individual hockey player no?

ya, a player is a player in game, well probably find a way to do it so if only 3 players are in the server that bots make up the rest of the team, and new players take their place.

goalies should have their own seperate controls for each save :) playing goalie would be a lotta fun.

looks like you didn't get my question. i talk about if you will create real hockey players in-game like Yzerman or if you create a generic player model and just change the name plates. just because like i said the NHLPA is jumpy about such things in terms of licencing.

Mar 13 2005 Anchor

we did answer that. we said each gamer will be their own individual player. therse no need to use real life players.

you have to pay several thousand to use professional names, its why Micheal Jordans left out of quite a few basketball games nowadays cuz it costs thousands just to use his name
