For me, it's deffinently Swat 3. It's the way you got shot the exact second you turn a corner and the people that jump out when you least expect it. No other game has ever made me jump. |

Metal Gear Solid. Here I am trying to sneak around, and all of a sudden, one of the guards has that exclamation point (!) flash up on top of their heads, the alarm shoots on, and you have to run your ass to a hiding spot. That always made me jump at times when I least expected it. EDIT: OH, and Half-Life 2, at Ravenholm, when those really freaky zombies made those ear-tearing screams and leapt on you out of nowhere when you just saw them not too long ago across the town. Silent Hill 4: The Room, I tried the demo of, and when I got to the door and found out what was going on, I was told to go back to my room because I had heard a noise, but being in first-person and uneasy about the whole situation, I just turned the game off. I am not ready to handle those types of situations. Edited by: Karuto -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

Clive Barkers: Undying. One good suspensful horror game i think everyone should give a shot, even though it's slightly old, everyone download it or buy it for a try. |

Far Cry. I'll be running low through the bushes, machete in hand, having a grand old time, then I pop out behind a tree and BOOM! One of those crazy mutant-cry-somethin'-or-other-monkey-things jumps out at me. Jeeeezussss. |

AVP2 or Eternal Darkness... Eternal Darkness is really scary, but in a very cool way. --

First person shooters rarely make me jump. The kind of games that make me jump are Fatal Frame, Silent Hill, Resident Evil. Along those lines. |

The stairs that go upstairs makes me jump the most. Usually I just jump them with some 4 jumps, except when my parents are at home, then I just walk them regularly. All kinds of obstacles outside makes me jump, but there's not much obstables outside, at least not in the road. The roads are just boringly flat, but it's ok, if you just run around. |

I can't believe how many people were frightened by that stupid dog...played through 1 and 2 and decided it was such a poorly done game and the emphasis on horror did nothing that it wasn't worth playing 3. Game that made me jump the most has to be Thief : Deadly Shadows in the freaking asylum/orphanage, as well as the few parts in Doom 3 with the little girl ghost. I can handle massive demons, crazy spider creatures, monsters tracking me without end, zombies and all sorts of things coming from any angle, but, I feel unclean hearing a dead child. I ended up running the whole of the asylum listening to gravity kills. |

My favorite part was the insanity effects where you would walk into a room and it would say that your controller is un-plugged and to plug it back in but the zombies would keep attacking. Or, where you were actually a zombie and even had the zombie's attacks. And an excellent plot to boot. Edited by: Mr.Dax73r --

Splinter Cell, any of them. When you're sneaking up behind someone and he turns around, or his friend runs around the corner and screams. Or anything happens . -- James Freedman |

Doom 3. I swear, it was like last summer, i was at a gaming camp, and i was the only one who would play doom three. I had a bunch of people watching me, and i was playing single player. It was so horrible, i screamed like a little girl, didn't know what was going on, i was scared of everything. |

Alone in the Dark when the bird-gremlin jumps through the window. You see it first through the tinted blue window and go 'hmm', then it pauses and BRRRAW leaps through. Then immediately after you kill it the Zombie climbs up through the cellar @_@ --
