Fragmaster is the founder of PHL and PlanetUnreal, he is also the gamespy community projects director, and a writer, and a bunch of other sutff at gamespy. He started in the PQ days, so he's a big important one. - Edited By CheapAlert On Tue 20th, Apr 2004 @ 10:36:42pm -- < insert subject games here >

I suggest you discuss this or Im closing it. Needless Valve bashing isnt permitted considering the amount of modding support Valve has supplied the community, look how many Half Life mods there are. So think before you hit submit. -- Why wont it save me? |

My thoughts are simple and that is isn't this always what happens in the gaming industry? I mean where is Duke Nukem Forever... forever lost? But yeah its really interesting to get a backstage look to the gaming industry and see the blatent lies people post just to keep the community interested... i dunno we are all guilty of this, there is no excuse and its bloody pathetic but he maybe overreacting? i dunno i'm not the one dealing with valve.. interesting all the same -- Scott Reismanis |

Yeah, I see no moderator editing/deleting if it were anything on a game, except if it involves Valve. No other company has forced this (Infinium Labs is the only other I know that sue other publications for having the truth over their stupid console) |

But the fact that Duke Forever hasn't hyped up 99% of the gaming community is the major factor behind HL2. Also, Vavle have promised and SDK, and this thing has happened to multiple games. CS:CZ took ages, TF2 hasn't been heard of it for ages, and HL2 of course. I totally agree with that guy there, and all the points he made. This is a pinacle in gaming history, not as a success, but as a failure. Vavle need to learn from their mistakes, and if they do, they have a lot to learn. I have a feeling that HL2 will disappoint us in some way, I don't know how, but I feel it will. |
