What can be improved? Note this is my first real attempt at creating a model (i have done it before, but not really seriously) Please note that there will be hundreds of enemies so to compensate for that we do need low poly models. The skin will add lots of detail though, i just really need opinions before i class it as finished. *Edit* in answer to your edit, yes the skin will add most of the detail, as we don't want any slowdown in the huge battles. - Edited By a_llama On Wed 17th, Dec 2003 @ 12:03:25pm |

BTW, The limit ambershee gave me for the model was 400 polys, so i didn't have loads to work with. |

With a limit of 400 polys it will be very flat, but unfortunately with as many as 600 of those or similar on screen at one time they need to be. |

The gun looks perfectly fine, just could use a smoothing group for the handle and the side of the gun, and it's low poly, so what's your problem

hey not bad for your first model but if i were you I would change that front grip or magazine or whatever that is in the front its and a weird angle... but anyway keep on modeling you'll get there! --
