I played Killer Instinct only on monochrome Gameboy didn't like it much though. I always loved Primal Rage, the idea of fighting dinosaurs seemed (those days 'round 1995) nice & fresh to me. MK's are pretty different from each other, first one is prolly the most atmospheric one, with Goro as boss which could be easily killed using Sub Zero's freeze+uppercut. MK2 was the most brutal and atmospheric one, Pit and sewer levels are legendary, plus hidden Noob Saibot and Jade fight . MK3 was kinda different, less dynamic and abit more boring, not speaking of MK Trilogy. Playing as Shao isn't that much fun. "Get over here!" |

PC fighters are too stiff compared to console ones, that is practically the only time I'll say a genre is best left to consoles but it is true. Killer Instinct, 150+ combos with the wolf was annoying...especially in the arcade Primal Rage, who doesn't love crushing your little worshippers and being a big ape or dinosaur? |

@vangor: not true. if you have a gamepad it would be good but devers are often dick-heads in that regard. otherwise grab an emu for your console B-) @topic: primal rage is... like killer instinct: annoying. the system is not responsive, button timing is horrible and key-buffering is totally off. besides the speed is laughable. you can do this with a speedy char like a ninja but fat ton weighting dinosaurs roaming around like super-ninjas looks rather stupid (unless you like that kind of stuff). tekken (version 3 i played) is up on the ladder too. plays rather well. still has problems with key-buffering and button-mushers are kings (with the right chars) but that's nothing new. that SNES godzilla fighting game was fun too. horrible key-buffering though but speed matched the chars, slow and stomping. just a bummer i didn't had a SNES with that (jap import... how should i get that?). btw, the XBox/NGC version is horrible... HORRIBLE! true godzilla fans should puke on this one ^_^ about dinosaur fights JP Warpath jumps into mind. is better than primal rage in speed although a couple of moves are not matching dinosaurs waiting tons. the visual damage stuff is a matter of taste but put some spice in. one of the few games without key-buffer problems O_O. but moves are a bit restrictive. with the right set of moves and layered battle grounds this would be rather fun stuff. thus: Edited by: Dragonlord |

I remember primal rage. I'd always use vertigo and do that cheap ass acid spit and tail stab can't say i'm an avid fighting game enthusiast, though. The genre has gotten dry to me over the years If I had to choose though - MK2 would probably be my favorite |
