Hey I recently bought a new computer, but since the bios is so new on it, most os's don't work unless they're a very recent version. But I'm having trouble installing it, after it goes through the file copying faze of the install, and reboots. When it trys to boot from the harddrive I get this error: Error loading operating system. Here's my specs: Only one of the harddrives is hooked up atm, just so that it doesn't conflict with my linux install. I spent about 3 straight hours trying to fix this last night, and 45 minutes this morning. And have been unable to get anywhere -- ShadowLore profile: Moddb.com |

*duh*. it has been you that asked me that question some weeks ago right? unfortunatly i've not found a solution yet. does the knowledge base on ms say something about this problem? try messing a bit around in the bios and deactivate fancy stuff and see it it works. judging from the error i suspect a problem with the hd-interface. tha hds are correctly jumpered right (meaning master/slave if on ide1)? have you tried moving them around? i had some boards that did cough if the ide drives had been connected not in a certain way. also try once only one hd and fiddle around in the bios to see if it works. |

Try making a boot disk and attempt to install it again, but on a FAT32 formatted hd. (Don't do NTFS plz !!!!) -- < insert subject games here >
