Hi there, we are the team behind "Battle Brothers" (https://www.indiedb.com/games/battle-brothers) and have put a demo of our game on our indieDB page. Now a user has added the same file with another description to our page making it look like an official file. In fact, we have no idea if the user added any dangerous or corruptive code to the file so we deleted it. Is there any way to stop users from uploading files to our indieDB page? We didnt find any according options. Thanks in advance! |

Hi, you can turn off community contributions at the bottom of the (game) Edit page: Indiedb.com You just need to untick "Downloads" options. You should only keep Mods option ticked (mods are added as separate profiles) and other options (media, downloads, articles) unticked if you want full control over your game profile. |

Ah okay i see! From our point we were just completely unsure where that file came from, good to know! The filename on IndieDB is with a version number as we do not want to delete the old file. On our page there is only one, the most recent, version. The two versions are actually the same version but with a different name. We do not know when we will add another demo update. Anyways, thanks a bunch for the clarification! |
