Does God exist? Thread

I know most well read people don't believe in God. What are your opinions?

Mine: People that don't believe in God take way too many things for granted. They never just stop and look around (especially while on drugs or alcohol), and say, "Wow, This place, This planet, This reality....Is fucking bad ass." If there was absolutely no higher power involved, Earth sure won a HELL OF A doorprize at the meeting of random shit to happen.

Which god do you mean though because there was a god who created the world and everything but which one was it

i am a well read person and I do believe in god, with all my heart mind and soul.

I only believe in bad karma and PowerVR. Nothing else.

Nah, no such thing, no point arguing , plenty of reasons why he is not, but its impossible to change the worlds religion, so, STFU!!

I personally believe the whole God theory is beaten and old. There's a reason for the way the earth is today - it's called evolution. Science. Nature. Genetics. Survivial. Darwinism.

No mystical being far beyond our world sat around and went *poof* there's some trees, *poof* there's light and air, *poof* there's people, *poof* there's EVERYTHING to create an ecosystem and free-standing civilization and world.

I personally believe that falling back on that reasoning is a bit naive and lazy. It's much easier to say someone else created everything and that someone else is in control than to realize the truth: everything is here from evolution, from science - which is proven, and that no one is in control but ME. I am the only one who can decide my destiny - not some imaginary dude in a cloud. ME.

Religion was founded ages ago by simpler people who had not the means or the intelligence to understand this world and beyond, so religion was created to help explain things to the masses, to help them to realize that everything has a purpose. Well this is not true. Science and our own advancements have allowed us to realize the truth behind most every facet of existence on our world and outside it.

The only religion I lend and credibility to is Buddhism. Siddhartha Gotama, the man called Buddha, did not bother with fantasizing about creation and the afterlife. Buddhism is about the now, what IS. Everything in front of you, and in your mind. It's all about Enlightenment. That is true religion. Finding peace of mind for yourself, devoid of the distractions of the rest of the world.

something before that evolved into apes or somethin :/ who knows the world might get destroyed !!!!! then the apes now will evolve into humans....big cycle maybe

No, religion says some dude came along and created everything, when we know most of that inst true, i mean once you proof one thing wrong in the bible (which we have) you prove it all wrong!

I DUNNO, just bibles and another thing which proves it crap is i mean, ALL the different religion, people going, my god exsists yours doesnt! how many damn gods are there !!! its just stupid, and just a reason to make people feel comforted and not lonely.

have you even read even a portion of it? (not like the bible is exciting, the book of mormon is )

you really have no opinion, really, if you've never read it.

but one thing. what if the world did come to an end? and you found out he did exist?
what if he didn't?
we don't know (well...at least you don't)

But how did all of that happen and where did the stuff come from to make it happen?
And Makken the bible dosen't tell us where god came from and not all things in the bibile have been disproven. Jews do exsist.

Science shows better proof, but even so, know one knows how everything started... not even science :/

Well im not sayin sciece is wrong i trust it but some scientist say they can prove god exsist with science so have some mathmaticians
