Rotting_Fetus	As some of you may know a Dawn Of The Dead remake is to hit theaters on March 19th. I just found this out last night and within minutes I found myself surfing the movies great webpage. I found this funny because about a moth ago I was talking to someone about putting togeather a DOTD mod for HL. If anyone is interested please e-mail me pyrotic_firestarter@hotmail.com, but I won't be doing the mod if I dont hear enough feedback. thx Long live the living dead! ME AGAIN Ive decided to start modeling for a DOTDHL project, altho I don't know if theres enough public interest, but I don't really care. Modelings fun. Here are just some ideas I jotted down to give everyone and idea of what this mod would be about. Mod name full: Dawn Of The Dead HL (DOTDHL) Mod type: SP & multiplayer I wish to focus on more of a SP mode that follows the old film. Multiplayer game modes: Gather the supplies: Civillians collect all the supplies and bring them back to their base. Zombies try to kill them in the process and spawn near the supplies. Supplies inclued: First aid pack, Food, and Weapons. Get to the chopper: Civillians try to get across a map to an awaiting helicopter. Survival of the fitist: Everyone starts out as civilians with bots as zombies. when someone is killed they become a undead and walk to feast on the living. Last man standing wins the round. Classes: Zombies Civilians * All of the above ideas are just ideas and I have no intention of making a mod right now. If you have ideas reply or e-mail me. Rotting_Fetus	Well Ive been working on mods for quite sometime (just HL mods) and have made some progress. My best field is weapon modeling and some weapon animations, but Im lacking in skinning. I have level designed a bit but Im not to good with it and I can not code at all. If anyone wants to help on a hopefully premium zombie mod I could use help in every field of work. Mostly a coder would be nice but I won't give my hopes up. If you feel that a zombie mod is something you would like to be apart of then give me a e-mail, find me on msn pyrotic_firestarter@hotmail.com or just message here. I could use your help if you do anything mod related. As soon as I get this beretta, that im working on, finished Ill post a pic. I have plenty of experience to know that a lot of mods become flops, and I have worked on some of those... I want to make a mod for another game besides HL but never made that leap. If someone wants to help make a DOTD mod for another game, Im willing to help, but I do not have the resources to do so. On another note They Hunger is one of my most favorite mods for HL. I just recently signed up on Moddb and im not to sure how to post pics of work. can someone please explain it to me and Ill post a pic of the Beretta. Never mind I found out... anyway here is a pic of early work on a beretta for the mod... I wish to finish it soon and start another... possibly a Colt of some sort. Any suggestions? I like your enthusiasm, though we do have a edit button in these forums, it is located at the bottom right corner of each one of your posts. As far as your mod goes, well what can i tell ya besides good luck. Plaidmonkey	Hey, great, I'm working on a Zombie mod for HL2 also (err...or did you say for HL1 ) Anyway, good luck, always good to have some friendly competition! Rotting_Fetus	I dont expect the remake to be better or even compare to the original but it should be good. Tom Sauvini does a cameo in it, so that should be cool. Plaidmonkey	Nope no page yet, and to honest...no name yet either But if the mod turns out as good as my vision...YEEHAW, I personally won't play anything else But each mod is different (or in a perfect world they would be...) so even if two mods have a common theme, they should play differently. Right now, I'm just toying around with weapon models, I'll probably wait until HL2 actually comes out to really seriously begin...unless people want to join up as a team before then.
