Moved to Technical Support.

Steam forums is probably a good place to seek help, I saw a few topics about this issue there, so go and look @ www.steampowered.com..

Like getting the steam files corrupted somehow - reinstalling steam 3 times - over and over downloading 600mb big cs:cz - and getting 5 days lost because of this.

I still think that steam is okay, but when it comes to errors and bugs this is the most annoying and time-eating program ever.

U_U... always the same song...

i start to hate people to consider others 'idiots' (not that you said it but a lot do in that situation).

i know both sides: steam working and not working. and saying it can't be that it doesn't work is really... crap. linux would only be a fraction of it's power if all would think like that >_<

The truth is that Steam is very "sensitive" on other applications running on your system, like tweaks, firewalls and so on. If you're running a clean system which covers the system requirements you shouldn't have any problems.

Corrupted Steam files? If you mean installation file, then it's a common IE problem with downloading from some servers.

Steam is a good program - handy and easy to use.. but it still needs some work; as every application, it sometimes doesn't behave correctly. Nearly every issue is covered in steam help & forums; you just have to look.

I havent had any problems running Valve games and mods but when it comes to other mods... I am totally screwed I have the specialists, NS, PVK, Battlegrounds, and Hammy-Bob mod. and they are all named hammy-bob mod... I did everything I could think of and even contacted technical support and did what they told me and nothing worked :P

that's how it's supposed to work. You cannot register a CD key to more that one account to prevent piracy.
