Yes, Counter-Strike has been incresingly popular since release. It's huge.

Action Quake2 was it's predeseccor (Also involved Minh Le as a weapons modeler) scoring half-million downloads before CStrike.

CS is a well populated / addicting game . When I first got into I used to play it all day, now I dont play it as much, only like over weekends and breaks, but I still got my skillz

I just wish they didn't take out the bots from counter-strike 1.6

Now I'd have to by CS:CZ, and it doesn't really seem to worth it.

Oh, and I'm proud to announce that lots of people are getting their keys stolen. I was a victim. I emailed Valve, and they didn't do anything to help. Not that they can or anything, but it's a shame. And my key was stolen because counter-strike's overwhelming popularity. A lot of people are trying to generate keys. It's sad... Back to Counter-Strike 1.5

yeah, i dont do CS, im more into TFC and Svencoop.

i was playing cs for about a year, with many new modelpacks etc. , and suddenly it became just BORING so i stopped ;p

cs is huge here in peru all the young guys go to cyber cafes just to play cs...or to use the msn messenger but cs wins

i started playing CS in beta 4 so that be a few years ago so yeah you could say it is very popular, even moreso now

too bad CS gets old after you start PWNING everyone in every server and your constantly playing for like 8 hours strait... i moved on to NS, PVK, TS, etc.
