We all know that it takes a severely long time to compile maps, encode media, and other sorts of things, some people have trouble getting their computers to work well with such things. There is however a service I've discovered called SOD (Secure Online Desktop). It's a virtual desktop that works much like remote desktop apps like TeamViewer. You can have your Steam account run in offline on one or many of their servers for the Source SDK. Now remember it's an actual computer, so you can do more than just map compiling. SUch as media encoding, animation rendering, or anything else that ties up your computer like crazy, you can even use it as a server host if you wanted to. There's a 30-day free trial available on their site. If you're interested, go to Secure-od.com for more information.

Your account says you are 14.
There is no way in hell, I would trust private information/data to this.

It's a spammer.

Also, you still need to upload / download your results - so the benefit in speed when doing any kind of baking/cooking is completely redundant anyway.

The service is not a scam, it is used by my good friend Fillip Victor, the best and one of the oldest Source modders, (his work: Steamcommunity.com ) who has helped me with my mod. I would not care to spam any message of this sort if I knew it was a scam for I have been caught by such things a few times myself. The service of SOD has 24 cores and 50GB of RAM, and if you care to try it it is free for 30 days. About the birthdate I am 27 years old. Sorry for any confusion.
