I am near tempted to vote neither, but Palin is an outspoken populist theocrat as well as creationist, censor, hypocritical socialist, and quite simply an idiot. I wish I could merely negate the vote on someone, though the net result is the same except with a more satisfying number for those of us who support neither. However, I definitely will be going to vote momentarily as there is an amendment on the ballot in Florida to ban homosexuals from marriage. No matter who you are or what your beliefs are, such an amendment is religious legislation and spits on the separation of church and state necessary to the freedom of Americans.

Cite sources. I say this because any mention of raising taxes (historically a battle-cry of American conservatives) is propaganda. The tax codes in America don't lend themselves well to net increases, and Obama is actually shifting tax burden from what I hear from actual accountants, people I trust.

Similar has been happening since '00 at least. Spam mail campaigns, people canvassing, and now text/phone messages for this, as well as discussing about checking for outstanding warrants, fines, etc., to target primarily urban and impoverished voters. Guess which party that group tends to support... Not saying one is worse than the other, or that perhaps the media does not share a bias, but one certainly seems more droning, pervasive, broad-reaching, and dare-I-say campaign supported than the other.

no offence to anyone but the US election is very important in the world. it is probably the largest superpower and that is important. so is the leader of that country. BTW Obama will be the first african american president of the united states. also BTW, i am not an american, i am a canadian.

Top in what regard? Super-power needs to be defined well, and if we base this off of our nuclear arsenal, this is strictly last option. Many other nations with nuclear power are wildly jingoistic to levels which would shame the 'patriots' of Right America; I doubt those nations would have the hesitation to annihilate cities in such a conflict. Nor would we be top in any other respect, simply.

We have been. We have the capability to be again. But this alone is not why PotUS is a world influencing position. There are now, no longer, any islands. They are not remote. Do you know why gasoline spiked in price recently and has quieted so extensively in America as well as most other nations who had a sizable amount of automobiles per capita? Everyone would do well to know who PotUS is, as they would do well to know Hu Jintao, Putin and Medvedev, Gordon Brown, Ehud Olmert, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and who Pervez Musharraf was and who Asif Ali Zardari is, Manmohan Singh, and Kim Jong Il, amongst others.
