Amateur historian looking for job Thread

Let me say right off the bat; I have no programming skills whatsoever.
What I do have is:

1: A wide view of all sorts of different historical data.
I specialize a little in Japanese history however I'm not bad anywhere else.
I can advise and offer new and different ideas for the game based on my experience in history. This applies even to games not strictly historical because most operate with two things similar to earth. The same physics (IE kinds of weapons), and of course Human psychology.
I won't complain about looking up the shapes of stuff (buildings, weapons, clothing etc.) or it's proper usage. I'm very good at it, and it's very fun for me.

2: Pretty good writing skills.
I love reading all sorts of books. My writing is pretty creative but I have some issues with grammar & Punctuation, nothing a good book on the sub wouldn't fix.
I type at a little over 40 WPM with a few mistakes.

3: I'm a beginning practitioner of a martial art called Hapkido.
I can offer advise on some basic martial techniques including:
basic stances & movement
hand and leg striking (including elbows)
Basic blocks
a few arm & hand locks
some limited gun and knife defense
how to fall properly if thrown

4: I've tried a huge variety of computer & video games.
If there's a word for it I've tried it. Name a genre and I'll list some.

I want to start modding as a start onto a career with video games. I'm going to start learning c++ but since it'll probably be awhile before I can do anything useful with it I want to at least be involved in some aspect of a game. I don't care how and/or what I do as long as I'm involved somehow.

I was wondering if you know any knowledge on greek mythology?

My Game aim is a modern take of the past mythologies with an interesting twist.

Sorry my knowledge mostly goes over movement and change of societies not mythology. I have a basic level of knowledge like the torment of Tantalus but it's an extremely complicated subject. I don't mind doing research while writing for you though. Can you give more some more information about your project?

I didn't mean to seem as if I wouldn't do anything but consult history for games. I'll do anything you can use me for ;-)
