Hi guys,

As you guys may have noticed...HLrally was released a couple of days ago..well I liked it and found it very fun but it wasen't as fun as it could be. So I would like to make a mod for a mod which since it seems like a good base to mod on. this will change the whole theme of Rally into a kind of Fast paced sports car racing mod.

Here are the main things:

. Changes all rally cars with sports cars - ie. Farrari, Porcshe, Lambourgini etc
. changes maps with city maps
. Changes addon parts with NOS, weapons etc.
. Cars have HP - ie can be destroyed

Please anyone with skills in coding, modelling, Sound, Sports Cars please apply...i'll set up a forum when there are enough people interested and have a name for this mod...

thx, but a good mod needs good devs...anyone?

Im sorry but whats the point, go create your own mod on ut2k4 from the ground up, hlrally took long enough.

Why wont it save me?

Well, HLrally is a good mod to start modding on, and people like me don't have UT2k4 yet...(i'll get it when DVD is out), and if I did make it for UT2k4, i'm sure it'll lag. It'll probably be twice as big (download wise). Although it may look better than HL, i'm doing this for 56kers in mind...

It was officially released world-wide, and it can be obtained in every nation that has the market. I think the only places u'd have trouble getting it are Greenland, South Pacific islands and Antarctica.

I don't understand why you don't believe that you're able to get it.

I think that modding a mod is a good idea, why made a mod from scratch if you like how the game runs already, and just want to make a few changes? Good thinking 'hmm__interesting' ... I have been wanting to create a mod lately as well but from scratch most-likely...

I think people should have more positive posts, that makes happier mod makers, which make better mods, because you can do things better in a good mood :)

Good luck, I can map, model, wads, sprites ... I'm not Mr. Guru on those things, but I am fairly better then the average starting noob out there... I'm pretty good :)

If you have the concepts and more info etc. Feel free to contact me my e-mail is on my site [ SacStudios.com ] and my AIM is SacStudios

Hope you get it going, sounds like a good plan to me. Dreams don't come true unless you put your mind to it and get going :)

hate to end the mod a mod theme but this would require you getting HLRallys code to change what they have done. I can promise you that Creme and Frag wont be giving up the code. Thus you would be making a mod from scratch!

Enjoy :)

That wasn't my plan.

My plan was to have gargoyles vs. demons (and gargoyles having the wang)

Uh, im sure we can use AMX to change some code...ESF has 3 mods for it and they all use AMX/Metamod as coding...I'm sure it's possible without getting HLrally's source code.

Well, you can add cars to hlrally easily (look at the manual), and you can also make maps for it...
