I've been using AGK for about 6 months now and I really like it.
it is definitely one of the better options for app programming

Simplicity in making games is wonderful.
Would get 10 if it had lesser bugs and more up to date beta fixes.
Wath can I say more then I love agk tier 1.

I've owned AGK since almost the beginning of its development, its fast, both in the games it can make plus its compile time while testing on a PC. It even has a emulator type window while running on the PC that looks and acts like a tablet or cell phone, Buy it, dont wait, (and its not junk), its about the best there is, and at under 60 bucks, you cant go wrong, Oh and it also makes PC versions along with Android/Ouya and Iphone of your game, not just mobile like Corona. and now it even has one click deploy on its website!.

I've been using AGK since the first version, and have grown very fond of it over the years. It lets me develop games organically and deploy and test on pretty much any device or computer I have. There's even a free version of AGK for Raspberry Pi, and recently HTML5 deployment was added. The 3D commands have also had a major makeover, more formats are supported, 3D physics, anti-alias, shaders, animation etc.

The IDE is very much improved since version 1 as well as compile times and Android/IOS deployment. Really it's my favourite language to write games in, I don't have to worry about only targeting PC or being too dynamic with screen resolutions - these aren't problems anymore.

So if you're looking for a game development language that doesn't expect you to learn C++ first, something to just get stuck into and make your game, then try AGK - it keeps game development fun and accessible while still providing access to mobile marketplaces and other platforms like Mac and Linux. It's also very easy to learn and has a great community behind it.

Great ! It work well, i am curious what possibility can offer from C++? i feel it's a huge way to code easily :)

So to recap i see in their site :
It can code for 2d engine, 3d engine, audio/visual, networking and support for multiplatform... many thing you can do interactive features !

I make 9/10 because it's very good and cheap as software.

Happy coding !

Easy to use and very versatile.

Tier 1 (BASIC) is good for people who want to create game mechanics from scratch but don't want all the hassle that comes with using other languages such as C++, Java etc.

3D is limited and the Tier 1 editor needs more features.

Great, easy to use language with great features and superb support.

Plenty of examples, plenty of new features appearing for free all the time.

The IDE let's it down, but I am aware this is being changed in the near future.

My language of choice.

Easy to learn, low barrier to entry, and multi-platform (PC, Android, HTML5) support without any extra costs. Responsive devs and a great community also make it one of the best development apps I have used.

I've been using agk2 for almost 2 years now, and I love it's simple but powerful engine, not to mention it's cross platform capabilities at no extra cost.

One of my favorite engines. Great for prototyping and publishing.
