A massive scale, high quality mod with snappy gameplay and huge selection of unit choices.
This fantastic mod includes a huge range of units made over the last 12 years, all improved, refined and balanced. The balance of the original units has been improved also, with the aim of making all units useful. Huge amounts of bugfixes - you should find it runs considerably better and less laggy than unmodified TA. Units added include an entire new Tech 3 tier: Kbots, Tanks, Aircraft, Hovercraft and Navy...
- Massive kbots, including walking long range plasma cannons, and an Arm rival for the Krogoth: the Drake. Be aware though that the Krogoth is considerably more powerful now too!
- Experimental tanks like mobile fortresses, and mobile nuclear missile launchers!
- Flying fortresses, and nuclear bombers!
- Dreadnaught hovercraft!
- Massive Capital ships and subs, and huge aircraft carriers!
Total Mayhem
- A special extended menu interface that gives 10 build buttons per page (instead of the usual 6) while still being compatible with resolutions 800x600 and higher
- an enhanced GUI interface including larger map preview, enhanced battleroom and more visible resource bars
- lots of new explosions and effects, new weapons, new strategies.
INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS (for non-TA:M users):
- Start with a clean, unmodified TA install (including the Core Contingency expansion and the 3.1 patch).
(If you have Total Mayhem already installed, uninstall previous versions first by double-clicking the ][totalm_uninstall.bat file)
- Unzip (aka extract) the contents of the zip to your totala folder
(if you have just uninstalled the previous version, it will prompt to overwrite the files, say yes!)
- Go to your totala folder and double-click the ][totalm_install.bat file
TA: MUTATION USERS:
If you use TA:Mutation, DO NOT use the included installer. There is a .tc file included for TA:M users.Need help installing and getting Total Mayhem to work? Please go here.
So old bet still better than anything new. I like the extended build menus.
