Unfortunately you still can't play... The same crash still shows up when you try to start a game.
Same on mac. There were no any problem with previous versions but doesn't work with the 1.8, is there something else to do than copy the .big files in the zero hour folder ?
My 1.8+ versions also crashes. I have tried to install every file manually by using the big extractor, but it still crashes when trying to start a game.
What .big extractor? I can't find one.

my mistake
Most of the crashes are related to shell map. You can change it by downloading a fast loading one from cncden and put it under "Zero Hour Data/Maps/ROTRShellmap" with the name "ROTRShellmap" for .tag/.map/.wak files and leave Map.ini unchanged. This will not fix all crashes, but at least you can start a game and have some fun.
when i load my save game and overwrite it , always displays '' error saving game '' , can anyone help me ? thnks :)
Try look into file permission of the game save by using "Get Info". You might have set it to "Read only".

I've tried all patches and none seem to let me start a match. I can select maps, factions and difficulty levels but as soon as the game is about to start it crashes. I've been playing shockwave on my iMac for over 2 years now no problem. Playing natively through OS X and not Bootcamp or Windows. I'd love to give ROTR a try. Can anyone please help.

It's been awhile since I've modded from this site, I could really use an installation step by step. I've tried looking but I have yet to find one.

The only problem I had is both ECA and Russian AI is killing themself shortly after skrimish (Did I spelled'em right?) start, no mater they on which team.

For me it JUST NOT WORKS. Can go through menu, but when start game - all crushes.
