Payne Evolution mod patch 1.03 made to fix the most common crashes.
This quick patch is made to address the crash caused by the subtitles lenght on some configurations, the crash on the final level related to the character Vlad and the crash on some DMW levels.
This executable will try to automatically locate your installation of Max Payne 2 and the base mod, if it takes too much time or it completely fails to locate it try to move the patch where your "Payne Evolution.mp2m" is and run it from there, if none of this works you can always re-download the mod that is now already updated to the latest version.

But... this patch searches Max Payne 2 automatically and doing it totally WRONG, since I have Max Payne 2 on FOURTH partition, and the search starts at the first partition. Great, now the patch searches the game in Windows folder. Any way to show the patch right way manually? :D
Oh, it found the right folder itself after 5 minutes ^^
Also, I noticed unreasonable FPS drops in 1.0, which disappears when I enable bullet time. My PC can run dozen of MP2 games at the same time... Any solution for that problem?
You can try to place the patch in the same folder of your "Payne Evolution.mp2m" to speed up the search, the software should search in the folder from where you ran it at first.

I've been experiencing the same problem with the random fps drops. Though when I reported it Silver just told me "Betatesters never encountered this so its your computer" Basically you ain't gonna get much help from him.
It's because MP2 engine like to chocke sometimes with too many effects in certain points. BT on gives engine more time to calculate all that things that are happening all al once.
The fact that I've never experienced this problem nor have the betatesters but some other people have experienced it simply means that it's caused by the only factor that is changed between these "tests", and it's the end user pc. ;)
Since the engine isn't open source the only thing that can be modified to "fix" this "bug" is your pc, either way I can't modify the engine nor your pc, so...

Omg when i launch mod it crash...
what about the crash when you try to load game from main menu in first run after last played? is this patch fix it?
Another thing, when I have a gun if I press F, the character tries to put it down but it will fail! It is funny!!! It is better to block pressing F when there is no gun on the floor and there is a gun in character's hand. Besides I faced a strange problem too, When I was carrying shotgun in my hands, I pressed F near a Box, The Box destroyed and the shotgun disappeared in my hands!!!
