This update brings improved OGSR x64 1.0007 Engine to OGSE. OGSR it's the result of X-Ray engine improvements by modding enthusiasts, it's a very stable x64-only engine without 4Gb memory limit, greatly improved performance and stability, improved rendering.
OGSR Engine for OGSE 0.6.9.3 (23-06-2019)
Hello everyone, this is KamikaZze. I've been out of touch for some time, but while I was, guys who continued development, done a huge accomplishment.
They've been able to recompile X-Ray engine to x64 architecture and fix a lot of it's flaws in the process. Result is a very stable engine without 4Gb memory limit, greatly improved performance and stability, improved rendering.
Good news about it is what due to the fact what development was initially based on OGSE, new engine has been born initially compatible with it. And it's maintainer, KRodinn, made it available on the GitHub.

Using this resources, I've created this update, to simplify the process of installation of OGSR engine to OGSE. My work here is only the installer itself.
Prerequisites:
1) Windows 7/8/8.1/10 x64 with 4 Gb of RAM or more.
2) GPU capable of dynamic rendering.
3) Installed OGSE 0.6.9.3, updated to version 2.10R.
Installation Instructions:
Before installing, make sure that you have installed update 0.6.9.3 to version 2.10R.
After that, before installing this package, at least once run the OGSE configurator to create all the necessary folders.
Possible issues:
1) On 21:9 resolutions left shoulder could appear on side of the screen for some weapons.
To fix that, open the console and set "hud_fov" parameter to 0.31
2) If on launch it couldn't find OpenAL libs, please install latest ones from Openal.org
3) If you have localization issues, first run the OGSE_Configurator after installing this package and set the language to English. Second, apply this small fix for news feed and treasure manager (thanks to Anna_Maniac for that): Mega.nz
WARNING! Start of new game will be required after installing this update! Old saves will not work properly.
I want to emphasize that this is just the pre-beta version for test purposes only. KamikaZzeRu was out too long)) The game process itself is changing according to the preferences of those who do all of this work. OGSE team has no relation to it.

This changes all the voices back to russian and news feed to russian. Is there an english version?
First, you have to run the OGSE_Configurator after installing this and set the language to English. This fixes things like the menu, but does not fix the news feed. I don't know if there was an easier way to fix this, but I ended up extracting the localization files for English and merging the scripts for the news feed.
Here's my little patch I made for that.

Thanks, that's due to the adapted scripts are shipped in unpacked way so they're simply overriding the localized ones in game archives. Hopefully I will fix that in the next update.

Most likely not. That patch has been made by Deathdoor, founder of OGSE team, but he left the team in the late stages of development of 0.6.9.3 and code base of his changes differs greatly with one which is used for OGSR engine adaptation. Results unpredictable.
I see, thanks anyway. So which branch do you think is better (mostly in terms of stability) ? I'm thinking about reinstalling the mod and I'd like some advice about that.
Well about update 2.10R which has been released by ours team I could say it's stable enough with no game-breaking bugs along the way. About 2.12 - can't say a thing, hasn't checked it out.

Installed OpenAL redist, copied newest OpenAL Soft release to bin_x64 and no result.
BTW I have SB X-Fi and all three original STALKER games use hardware acceleration that this card provides.
Not just you, I'm having the same issue.
If I set my onboard realtek as the default sound device, it loads correctly. So this is definitely an issue with Creative cards.
No idea if it's openAL-soft specifically or the OGSR implementation of the library.

May I ask, is it possible to play mods like Autumn Aurora with this? The performance boost would be welcomed with open arms, but engines like OpenXray for CoP don't work with mods (eg. Atmosfear).
Unfortunately, this patch is designed for OGSE 0.6.9.3 2.10R.
Not to mention I believe it is based on Russian version of STALKER release (not WorldWide) which uses different gamedata encoding.
Unless someone took Autumn Aurora and redesigned it from ground up to work with Russian Release of STALKER and then adapted OGSR 64 bit engine to it, then I do not think it will be possible to play any other mod with it.

For first time I recommend you to play vanilla game, only with Zone reclamation project, as OGSE makes some things harder (also by restoring some story things which were cut from final game), and also you´ll be then able to appreciate how these great mods, like OGSE, enhanced game.

If you mean these cut mutant cats, then yes. As many mods tried to restore cut content somehow, with OGSE included.
That almost makes me want to pass on the mod entirely. There's a reason some of those dumb looking mutants weren't put into the final game.

Unfortunately, this seems to be incompatible with creative sound cards. The implementation of OpenAL Soft seems to refuse to work.
No idea whether this is a known issue with OpenAL Soft or if there is any workaround other than using onboard audio.
Edit: Changing "snd_device" in user.ltx to "Generic Software" has fixed the issue.

FOV for example? Auto-arm fix for us 21:9 users? Maybe integrate the english subtitles mod?
Something strange I noticed is whenever I load a save or go to the main menu it minimizes the screen. (Playing fullscreen, windowed is extremely buggy and slow)
FOV can be changed in game.
I think there is a FOV slider in the main menu and in console just type
"fov" or "hud_fov" depending on what you want to change.

So Im pretty sure I've intstalled everyrthing correctly. For some reason, in configuration.exe everything was changed to highest values and at first it was in Russian. While in-game, some objects are kinda like Bordelands-looking like. They have this glowing effect on them. Right now Im mostly seeing it on grass and cars.
For some reason my stamina regenerates very, very slowly. Doesn't matter how much kg i have it stays the same... Can someone help?

Na pewno masz za slaby procek. Ja z Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2 GHz QuadCore 8MB Cache Processor na odpalenie gry po jej wlaczeniu czekam moze z 10 sec a jezeli chodzi o wczytywanie save to tak z 2 sec.
