After years of blood, sweat and tears, its a imagination no more. Halo: First Offensive, is finally having a release. It's not finished by far, but (for now?), its as far as its gonna get. Consider this an early Christmas present.
To install:
- Unzip the contents of this file.
- Copy the HFO folder and all its content to your LucasArts/Star Wars EaW FoC/Mods folder. (If this does not exist, simply create it)
- Use the PetroLauncher to select HFO.
- Play and have fun!
Please note that this release might contain bugs and might be a bit unbalanced. Feel free to make your own changes to your own files to make adjustments.

It's a little slow. Also, when I load it, I just get vanilla load screen and no music. While it's on my mind, are the assault carriers supposed to stay stationary? also laggy, but that might be on my part.
That is a glitch I'm working on. Very troublesome...

I must admit that the size of the rar, this mod would be low category. But it is really very promising, I admire the work on models in space and hope you continue with the land battles. The truth is that I was impressed ...

Well, here I think, but I'm not sure they'll be fixed as this was planned as the final release.
I could fix some bugs between work for ShockFiles and my mod, but no guarantees. Bug reports are welcome!
Might as well post im having the same problem with not being able to move ships while playing as covenant. Also while playing on my laptop if I called in ships that took fire from energy projectors the would stop warping in for second. Occasionally they would freeze entirely and be uncommandable. That may have been due to lag because of the laptop being a peice of **** however.
so i have the gold version of SW EAW on steam and i cant seem to get the mod to work, would you be able to tell me why this is or how to fix it or point me in the right direction please?
It should work with a normal mod installation for the Gold Pack, so see if you can find where your EaW:FoC data folder is. That should help.
i tried replacing the original files with the mod files but only the mods text appear in game no visual graphics, when i try to use petro launcher it doesnt work it just comes up as a box with all the selectible text grey i also have a windows 7 64bit ive been looking for a solution to the problem all over the internet with no luck
Try using a mod shortcut. Install the mod to the mods folder, copy a shortcut from another mod, and change the target directory of the shortcut.
the directory for the Mod folder for steam games is different from normal ones, it is as follows: C:\Steam\steamapps now im not sure if its in the Common file or your steam user file, but look for EaW's folder and put the mod in the Mod folder, hope this helps

My guess is all these are donated to the community? I wouldn't mind picking up where you left off.
All the big Covenantships are stationary they cant move and are stuck in place for bots and player pls do something about that

Yes. The mod died down so we released what we had. Only changes to ground are bombardments.

I know what causes the bug that causes Covenant ships to stop moving. It's the mod's method of creating the Cov ships beam/laser weapons. Rather than projectiles being fired from the ships, the plasma weapons are created by using the Drain Life ability for the ships as special attacks. Like any ship in EAW, when the ship comes out of hyperspace, or in this case slipspace, they start firing their weapons. When the Covenant ships start to attack, they activate those abilities automatically before the ships finish the hyperspace animations and they get stuck.
Still like the mod though. I just fired Installation 04 while playing as the Covenant yesterday.
If that's correct, well, that sucks. I was really proud of that system.... Another thing to work on then! But that may not be causing it... The ships' collision meshes were allowing them to run through eachother, so I made every ship a space obstacle. This caused the problem with every ship. I was able to fix the issue with the UNSC ships, but the Covenant ones still have the problem....
