"Half-Life: Day One" This was the first official demo of Half-Life, including "The first day" playing time.

Half-Life: Day One is a demo of the computer game Half-Life. The demo contained the first fifth of the full game.

Half Life: Day One was designed exclusively for OEM partnership and was

often bundled with graphics cards. It was never available to the

general public. Half-Life's actual demo (available free to the general

public), Half-Life: Uplink, was released several months after Half

Life: Day One

If its the real demo, I don't need steam and half-life 1 ?

It's the real demo, so you won't need anything besides a computer with windows 95 or higher (Any computer made after 1998 will do fine)

Just finished playing this mod. It has quite a lot of problems in my computer, for example the weapons sometimes become invisible and the reload sounds are missing!

Day One was a final beta stage of HL. Beta could have bugs/problems.
