Мод пока что очень нравится, но при прохождении нашёл один баг ну или как его ещё назвать я не знаю. Вобщем если поставить кубик в одно место и спрыгнуть, то его никаким способом нельзя будет достать. Спас только save/load.
О да... бывали такие моменты, хотя очень редко. Мы изначально думали об этой проблеме когда только принимались за работу над локацией где будут использоваться кубы. Так что нужно быть очень талантливым чтобы забросить кубик так, чтобы потом его нельзя было достать. Хотя был момент с пропастью на главе с кубом компаньоном, когда мы его могли просто скинуть вниз. Взамен ему сразу же выдавался новый, но игроки не могли догадаться где находится точка респауна новых кубов, в результате чего они думали что дальше локацию пройти нельзя так как нет больше куба компаньона.

nice. The whole plate thing, I think that some people are stupid, it's not your guys fault.
It's not a matter of who's stupid and who's not, more that some players don't want to have to think too much while playing a video game. Same people may also had problems the first time they played to Portal or Portal 2 because they don't take the time of looking at their situation and thinking about how to solve the puzzles. If the Portal series are relatively easy to complete (apart from the Co-op campaign, in some levels), CUBE will ask more reflexion from the players, and eventually bring frustration from a part of them for being stuck in the same room for half an hour.
I agree with you, but I also do feel that players should try stuff themselves. Like try thinking, "What will happen if I jumped on the Plate?" That's how I figured it out . Some peeps just figure out that the puzzle is bugged or its too complicated and just troll and flame the comments sections. It hurts the image of the mod as well as their own image.

Ok, I have a big issue in V2. You see that part in this video (https://www.moddb.com/mods/cube-mod/videos/cube-gamelpay-part02#imagebox from Chapter 4) at 04:08? I simply can't make that long jump. I always end falling too short and don't even reach the top of the line of cubes before the platform at the end of the room. Maybe it's the lack of speed, or me jumping too early on the plate, but I always fail. I never made it in V1, but I could progress by simply bypassing the whole jumping by using the companion cube as a platform to reach the button that opens the exit. Problem is, it seems to not work anymore in V2 and so I'm stuck in this part, unless I load the next map or just use cheats. So, can anyone explain to me how to make that jump?
Just to precise, I've already tried running while on the orange gel surfaces, crouching while flying, it doesn't change anything. I don't know why I don't have enough speed to make that jump. There is also a similar one before this map, in a test that you have to make twice, and which I hardly succeed after many tries.
Ok, I've just found what was wrong in my way of making that jump: I was going too fast, and so lost half (or so) of my speed when reaching the faith plate. I tried decreasing my speed a bit while doing in the same way as I'll always tried that jump, and it worked.

I would like to see a changelog for this update, I really would like to know more about the caught bugs and additions to the Cube!
I give it another go. Way is the dev lashing out at players about Aerial Faith Plate? Take the criticism or don't but don't lash out. Aerial Faith Plate is a problem, the timing and skill required to use it the way the dev intended it is to difficult from my experience. The way that it functions only impedes and frustrates players.
Does this one have a different ending?
It doesn't, but it adds some more background informations to the story, and a new and hidden map for those who can find it.

For some reason the mod is not working for me. After the valve movie the game freezes before the main menu loads. I managed it to run it just one time, but when I got into the second chamber the game crashed with the error tell a programmer to up the vertex_buffer_size... Wtf???

No matter what I get a steam verifying game files, followed by saying all servers are full. Am I doing something wrong as it did this in v1 as well?

Люди, помогите! Раньше мод работал нормально, но в последнее время стал выдавать ошибку при запуске Can' find background image materials/console/startup_loading.vtf. Как я понял, это типа видеоролика при включении игры. Скачал куб заново, но в архиве нет этого файла. Может это связано с обновой в steam. Пробовал ставить посторонний файл с hatch 18, но он выдавал уже другую ошибку, типа ошибка engine. Можете сказать, где есть оригинальный startup_loading.vtf из cube?

If you do some googling, you can find a copy of Cube V2. Though once you download it you'll have to fix the gameinfo, and then rename background01 map in the maps folder to background02 so you can get it playable.
Yeah I could do that, but after seeing that article I guess I'll just wait for the steam version. I'm doing that wait too with Black Mesa (xen) ^^

Наверно опоздал, но команда AASC была распущена. Цитирую: "Из этого следует что проекты студии окончательно закрыты. Вопрос об возобновлении деятельности в новом составе не поднимается или больше не имеет былой актуальности, так как среди тех кто уже покинул коллектив был один из ключевых основателей студии и автор многих студийных проектов."
