Absolutely love this so far, however. I will not be playing until it gets some stability patch(es) as once you get the game going it constantly crashes. Jumping to planets, scanning anomalies, I myself cannot ascertain what's triggering it because sometimes its fine... others.... hard crash

Excellent release! loving it so far.
A question though, some of the Klingon ships just stay stationary when in combat and never move.
This doesn't seem to be an issue with any other race.

I'm assuming this isn't intentional?

Keep up the great work!

Not all ships have "fighter movement" anymore which is intended. :)

I have to be honest, the many stationary ships make the battles feel too stale. I understand artillery ships or dreadnoughts staying still, but the fighter movement of battles made it unique and beautiful.

I still love the mod (Despite the many crashes which I get), but the Xindi rappidly became my favorite simply because they have the most mobile forces.

Sadly, I feel exactly the opposite. It annoys the heck out of me when ships with most of their firepower forward spend over half the battle with the forward arc not facing the enemy.

That isn't really how trek battles work though! Especially in Star Trek Enterprise, which much of this stems from! The fluid movement adds SO much to the spectacle. I get the capital ships, but not ALL of them!

I find myself going back to Armada 3 with that change, its the only mod left where trek battles look trek.

Am I the only one having an issue where the game freezes and then crashes within 30 seconds of the actual gameplay loading?

I've repaired Sins, made sure my drivers are up to date, and still no joy.

Im guessing you're running out of memory or something. I have a pretty beafy system and I've had zero crashes.

Actually, I'm running an I7 processor with 32 gb ram, and a RTX 3050 8gb video card.

Modern systems are often counter-intuitive to improved performance on 32bit engines like Sins. This is due to differences in architecture and design priorities for improving performance that some (usually older) software is unable to utilise. If you are having crashes, reducing your graphical settings is so far the most reliable way of improving performance.

I've already done this, and it did in fact greatly cut down on crashing.

Don't install large address aware. You've not needed it for years since they patched base sins to include it. You've probably inadvertently made things worse by doing so.

Get rid of that and try reducing your graphics settings until the crashing stops.

Hobbs, I'm not sure how to "not install large address aware". I simply unzip the mod directly into the mods folder of sins. Am I not doing it correctly? I can't find a file or setting with that verbiage.
As to changing the video settings, I have, but even doing that crashes the program to a mini-dump.

I'm addressing the person who said they installed large address aware. If you didn't, then you don't have to do anything.

Crashed after I clicked on "Diplomacy" playing as the Coalition vs Xindi. Other than that though, been following this mod for a very long time and I think this massive overhall is an amazing direction, great job team!

I have a little curiosity, I've been following and playing your mod for years, alternating it with Armada III, I even spend whole days rolling it, I noticed that with the new 2.0 version you have removed vessels from the federation such as the Kelvin class, the Ares, the Class Hermes (which I loved), the Deimos, the Korolev class, the Geronimo and the Magellan, all full Kelvin/Axanar style ships that drove me crazy, I loved the sound of their phasers and especially their photon torpedoes. Do you intend to make a separate Federation of these ships set in the Kelvin/Axanar era as you did with the Enterprise and ToS eras or have they been definitively removed from the game?

Removed forever. They will not return.

That is truly unfortunate. Im curious why the 4 years war is being left behind? Thats what this mod was originally about - so is this stepping away from that?
