In December of 2009, a friend decided he wanted to see if he could make a mod for the Spring RTS engine. I told him I wouldn't help him or put any real thought into it until he could make a unit, and get it in-game and have it move around and shoot. Weeks later, a tiny, crummy-looking flying saucer graced the skies of Spring, and so I came on board. Conflict Terra grew from that.
