Full-size game extension, adding new gameplay mechanics, consumables, readable magazines, trade items, devices, unique NPCs, and even a new set of storylines.
This addon was originally a minor addon that added a few drinks and snack from popular brands in western countries. Overtime, it evolved into a full-size game extension, adding new gameplay mechanics, consumables, readable magazines, trade items, devices, unique NPCs, and even a new set of storylines. Feel free to suggest new items or ideas in general, I'll do my best to add it if it fits the addon.
New food, snacks, drinks, technological items and readable magazines
New devices : GPS locator, BIC lighter and SigSauer laser rangefinder
New unique NPCs, new storylines and new gameplay features
These addons are absolutely required in order for Western Goods to work :
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly 1.5.2
• DLTX and DXML
These addons can be used to enrich the experience, but aren't required :
• Anomaly Barter UI Framework (allows you to make EUR/USD/RUB currency exchanges);
• Food, drug and drinks animations (enables use animations for some consumables);
• Pinup Collector (allows you to collect some magazine pages to your wallet);
• Mod Configuration Menu (allows you to customize some options about the addon).
• Device Selector Key (makes it easier to switch between various devices);
• Western Goods Readables Extended (adds more pages to magazines in the addon).
These patches can be used when native compatibility with other addons cannot be achieved :
• Patch for Realistic Bodily Needs v3.8.
To install the addon :
1. Download and install the requirements; Download this addon;
2. Merge the contents of the gamedata folder with your game's folder of the same name;
2.a. Either with a mod manager JSGME/MO2 (highly recommended);
2.b. Or manually (highly unrecommended).
To update the addon :
1. Delete the files from the previous version;
1.a. By disabling the addon in your mod manager, and then deleting the files;
1.b. Or by deleting the files one by one if you added them manually;
2. Add in the new files from the new version
2.a. Either with a mod manager JSGME/MO2 (highly recommended);
2.b. Or manually (highly unrecommended).
To uninstall the addon :
1. Start your game and open the MCM settings;
2. Enable the "Addon removal" option;
3. Load your save-game. Once loaded, save again;
4. Close your game, and remove the files added by the addon.

I edited the items_western_goods.script, now even us military guys can get junk food.

I tried to make it so that only factions with western (direct or indirect) ties have access to it.
You can always broker a peace with say... mercenaries, to get access to them as a UA soldier ;)
how did you edit it? (noob to mod with stalker, i located the script but dk how to open to edit) also using gamma, but playing with duty, so i'd like it available too since i'm also not good with merc. lol
1. Navigate to ~\gamedata\scripts and open items_western_goods.script (using any text editor like notepad or notepad++)
2. Locate (using the search function or manually) the following lines :

Nice work mate.
Just some stuff to point out.
- Use full dltx, so you can avoid overwriting base.ltx file, and you avoid a problem there
- Give more "unique" names to your items, cause rn there is a mod with the same item names and will make game crash due to duplicate names (game will complain that you are not overwriting stuff that already exists)
The unique names issue will be fixed in the next update (probably late this night or tomorrow).
As for the base.ltx file, I don't exactly know how to deal with it...
When you use dltx to declare new items, you create a file inside gamedata->configs
Name must be mod_system_(mod name or something "unique").ltx like you did with mod_system_western_goods.ltx
With that you don't need base.ltx.
In your case just need to rename files and move.

I've applied most of your recommendations. Though it seems moving/renaming mod_animations_settings_western_goods_drinks.ltx breaks everything... So I'm going to leave it where it is for now.

this is so cool. I hope someone make another mod that adding sellable technological stuff to game. Like computer parts,phones,tech stuff and more like in tarkov.

I tried to add it via MO2 but it says content of <anomaly> does not look valid. Are you planning make the mod compatible with Mod Organizer?
Indeed the structure of the mod's folder isn't ready-to-use in MO2. I find that making it ready-to-use in MO2 would only make sense there was a lot of sub-addons in my addon.
But since there is literally only 1 folder you need, it shouldn't be too hard to prepare the folders yourself.
Didn't think that gonna be pretty easy to add it via MO2. I really liked the mod, cant wait for future updates.
Greetings, As a constructive idea for the development of this Mod. I could add edible or curative flora such as Fungi, Mushrooms, blueberries, plants, mosses. etc. flora that was beneficially affected by radiation and that provide balanced benefits. also so that this helps to be able to elaborate new recipes such as "te de Barbas" or "El Pico" or devise new elements derived from construction, without using less immersive and more natural elements... In a documentary about Chernobyl I was able to see that there were edible plants like the cherry tree, which provided radioactive elements to their organisms because strontium and Celsius are similar in molecular structure to magnesium and potassium. In this way the plant acquired radiation in its seeds but not in the meat of its fruits. In the same way, the animals that consumed these plants ingested these radioactive elements, adapting themselves.
I really like the idea ! Unfortunately I don't think it fits the whole "western imported goods" thing.
It could always be something I could work on after this addon is "finished".

Really cool. Small things like this add up, and make STALKER Such a different experience. You could add M&Ms; or Mentos with the Pill animation maybe :D (M&Ms; come in a tube too!). Rockstar, Monster Energy, Mountain Dew (Gamer time), Vodka Gorbatschow (although this isnt exactly Junk Food I guess). So many Possibilities
I couldn't agree more, I've always liked to enrich my experience with addons of the kind, and I feel I'm not the only one in that case.

mars and twix seem to conflict with food from Denro need to add "!" before them

I'll answer both of your comments at once.
There was a conflict with the addon you mentioned with the first version. I updated it yesterday night and fixed the conflict.
The Mars chocolate bar uses the military patch because you probably tried to merge it with food from denro, and it used the wrong texture file.
I recommend you use the addon removal (instructions available in the installation section on moddb), and download and install the update.

Hi ! I'm thinking, maybe most of these goodies should be put on sale at Svoboda? Since Svoboda has great connections with foreign merchants, and it suits them in style. Just imagine how a svobodovets drinks cola, it looks very natural MOD 100/100
That's already what I tried to do, but I couldn't remember if Freedom had this good connections with foreign (and especially western) countries in the lore.
They do have really good NATO weapons so now that I think about it it does make sense they would have these goods.
I'll adjust it for the next update!
