This replaces music in Doom 1 & 2 to that of 80's styled synthwave as well as additional industrial, electronic and orchestral tracks from 90's & 2000's.
SynthDoom Mad Edition
=====================
Music replacer/randomizer for Doom 2! The main style of music is 80's retro synthwave, reminiscent of the feel of old action movies like Terminator, Robocop and Blade Runner.
High quality pack of 99 music tracks for intense badassery. Also contains songs from Quake as well as many 90's, 00's and 2010's bands with focus on relentless adrenaline filled tunes.
Built on the "Now That's What I Call Midi" framework by TerminusEst13, which allows changing music tracks during ingame with the press of a button. Randomized for every map!
You can change the button in the Doom "customize controls" options menu and bind keys for "next song" and "mute song" there to two different keys.
It's also easy to take this mod and convert it to any other music randomizer mod :
Just replace the songs with the same name (SONG001, SONG002 and so on) with MP3 or OGG versions and make sure the LANGUAGE.txt inside the mod has the right amount of entries.

There are many ways to use/install mods, so just look up general mod usage guides on the net to find the best method that suits you.
Me, I use ZDoom 2.8.1 and put the files inside the "skins" file, called the "skins" method.
Create a "skins" folder inside your ZDoom/GZDoom/Zandronum directory and put the files there. Next time the game loads, the game will auto-load the files there.
Files load in alphabetical order, from 0 to 9 and A to Z and so on. You could also start with punctuations and other symbols but I wouldn't recommend it.
ZDoom/GZDoom only loads .wad files while Zandronum also loads .pk3 files in addition to .wad files automatically.
If you download a pk3 mod and you want to load it on ZDoom/GZDoom automatically without hassle, just rename the pk3 extension to .wad and it'll load anyway.
You can also use loaders such as ZDL, which most people adore. You can also open up your .ini configuration file and add directory lines to autoload files. Your choice. All methods work.

This mod is based on Reactorcore's SynthDoom, SynthDoom Mark 2 and Mad Sound Warrior music addons. Mad Sound Warrior itself is based on Zanieon's Hunter's Moon music addons,
namely Total Sonic Mayhem Music Pack, Madness of an Epic Massacre Music Pack, Madness of an Epic Massacre Music Pack - Volume 2. SynthDoom EXP Madness also features 9 tracks
from Officer_D's Doom EXP Music Pack V1 mod, specifically the first 9 tracks. Unlike SynthDoom Mk3 (developed for Lithium Cyberized), this mod does NOT have a built-in track list.
Please forgive the absence of this feature. The compilation of songs in Mad Sound Warrior does not feature a tracklist and I was not able to identify which tracks are which, even with a
music recognition software. Because of this, I decided to leave the track names alone, so when a song plays, it's just the default song name. You can use the "song" command on console.
The mod also restores music cut from the first version of SynthDoom as well, 9 tracks which got replaced with other ones in Mark 2. I just added them back as additional tracks.
Thanks a lot to Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, Dance With The Dead, Daniel Deluxe, Lazerhawk, Mega Drive, Power Glove, Sonic Mayhem and etc for making those wonderful songs.

This is good
Hehe thanks!
im unsure if this is intended, but the song names do not appear on this release unlike the last one, its just song01-99 on the console
That's because I have no idea what a lot of the track's names really are. Most of the tracks are taken from Reactorcore's Mad Sound Warrior mod, I just mixed them with his own SynthDoom's music just to make everything more "complete". SynthDoom MK3 on the other hand was completely made by me from top to bottom, so I had knowledge of which tracks came from where and by whom. The main reason I made this expansion was because I wanted a little more variety. I'm going to make a SynthDoom MK4 (or maybe even a different name), complete with a track list as well.
Do it!
