the second version of my sweetfx hd effect i played around with the other settings aswel to make it as atmospheric as possible to instal first download the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset in addon section then overwrite the files in the reshade folder with mine the 30 fps limit is not fixed for me but you can try your luck with a solution on the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset addon enjoy

This looks amazing but I think I will get 9 fps ;-;
wel sure if it was enbseries but reshade isn't as heavy as that its just a overlay on top of the game
you can turn off ambient occlusion that creates the shadows in the game its in mcfx.cfg just open it with a program like notepad and change USE_AMBIENTOCCLUSION 1 to 0 other then that there doesnt seem to be any real intense feature but then agian i couldnt get off the 30 fps cap so i couldnt do fps checks on the settings that i applied
I'm grateful that you mentioned me in the credits, however I think it would be more appropriate to remove me and instead add the actual creators of reshade, since all I did was create a preset for it, basicly the same you did now.
did mention the credits to the custom effects and because people need to first download yours puting you in the credits is something that just seems right ill change the credits a bit to include the reshade creators
Hello, this looks great so I'd like to try it out, but where do I put these files? I suck at these things...
the instalation is in the description you first need Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset from the addon section you put those files into the main folder of the game were the vampire.exe is then you download this one and put the files inside the archive into the reshade folder you got from the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset addon
I'm having trouble installing this, I play the game through Steam but it appears I can't find where vampire.exe is, any suggestions?
go to your steam folder assuming its on your main drive
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common"
vampire the masquerade should be there including the vampire.exe just unpack it into the reshade map and run the game through steam afther you installed the Reshade - A Vampire Bloodlines Preset in addon section
Do we have to download anything else to get to this to work? Also when you say overwrite do we just delete the files in there and put yours in there? Like download, find the re-shade file, drag your files in there and done? Thanks, and sorry for the bother just new to doing this.
Step 1 Download : Moddb.com
Step 2 Put these contents inside into your masquerade folder were the vampire.exe is located
Step 3 Download reshade hd preset
Step 4 Drag These contents inside the reshade folder you got afther step 2 it wil pop up a window saying files with the same name is already in the folder you just press replace
done just start the game and enjoy

I guess this is not working with unofficial patch? The game won't launch while both of them installed.
i installed it afther i saw your post sorry for the late response
the game works fine for me there are 2 factors that might cause it not to work for you
1.installation of the unofficial patch was not done correctly
2 your pc is not able to handle reshade been there its crappy
to properly install unofficial patch follow these steps
Step 1 : install vampire the masquarade bloodlines
step 2 : download and install vampire the masquarade official patch v1.2 link = Moddb.com
Step 3 : download and install the latest vampire the masquarade unofficial patch
optional steps for this addon
step 4 : download and install this Moddb.com
put it in the folder were the vampire.exe is
step 5 : download the reshade hd preset and place the content inside into the reshade folder in your game folder
is there a way to turn down the glare effect?
All in All this is pretty great work
if you still need a fix for that its called lensdirt its in the gemfx.cfg #define fLensdirtIntensity 1.5 lower that to like 1.0 or lower
