V2b all the slot 4 weapons should be loading now and weapon shows up when 'sliding' in Project Brutality & made keyconf not replace all the weapon slots (so it will show up with other custom weapons). V2a has a compatible version for Project Brutality and BDv20. Upgraded to v2, new sound from Left 4 Dead 2, and now it has less recoil. This is not my weapon, I'm sorry, i dont remember where did i found the original version of this weapon, but the decorate was not good, so i fixed all errors and now it's done. This is m60 heavy machinegun. Name of weapon "heavymachinegun". DoomEd number 5559. Any questions, requests - send me a pm. Works on any brutal doom. In BDv19 and BDv20 it spawns in place of a chaingun (although chaingunguys still drop the regular chaingun), in Project Brutality it occasionally spawns in place of the other HMG.
By the way, if you have berserk on you, you will have no recoil while shooting

Another cool weapon skin. However I can't seem to get ammo for the weapon after summoning it, like my bullet stocks don't go into the weapon.

Its an MG42 in the view sprite. I know I'm unreasonable but that drives me insane.
A few things: None of the ammo pickups actually add any ammo for the gun.
The recoil without berserk is WAY too much. Not even the minigun has that much.
Other than that, i think this is pretty cool. I wanted this as a mutator instead of as part of the ultimate brutal arsenal for some time now.

once you aim down sights and shoot it.. it makes your pumping more faster than what double barrel shotgun could be
M60 and MG 42 aren't HMG, they're general-purpose machine guns. And mixing M60 with MG 42, what arrogance.

That's not a skin, its a weapon. (There is just skin or model in definition) That's slot 4 weapon, stands right before mini_gun.

Agreed, this gun needs to be in PB compatible pronto. There is literally no good Super Machinegun in PB now thanks to the nerfs. I just hope he didn't drop this project :/

Hello, I'm trying to make this weapon work, but I haven't been successful yet. Maybe someone could help me?
I downloaded the file and put it into my folder with GZDOOM.exe
Here's what I tried next.
I held ctrl and dragged it along with my brutal doom file onto GZDOOM.exe, which then launched brutal doom as usual. After playing a few maps, I never found the M60. Maybe it is just given later in the game? Alternatively, is this a weapon that can be used after enabling sv_cheats 1 and then typing "summon" or "give" and the weapon's name in the console?
Sorry for the inexperienced question! I would really appreciate any help I can get, because I like the M60 and would enjoy using it in brutal doom.

Something's not right:
Just tested with plain Doom 2 under GZDoom, the gun is given successfully (while complaining about some scripts during bootup) but when loaded before or after Brutal Doom v20, it's not given at all and explicit commands like §give heavymachinegun§ complain about no such item.
The line I use to start Brutal Doom v20 with Doom 2 and the gun, under GZDoom: gzdoom.exe -iwad doom2 -file brutalv20.pk3 -file m60_machinegun.wad
You can also open brutalv20.pk3 with WinRar and put m60_machinegun.wad inside of it.
Cannot reload. When i'm pressing R, it shows in the left upper bottom "unknown command "Reloader" ". Any ideas how to fix this? Probably that's 90% of problems, why it's not loaded with pistol/assault rifle (from Brutal Doom) clips.
Overall, it's a pretty good mix of M60 and MG42.
Nvm. fixed (putting this to brutalv20.pk3).
The project brutality version prevents the selection of the starting .30 cal assault rifle whether the player has the m60 or not.
Thanks for that. I've actually discovered a few problems relating to KEYCONF that I'll be fixing now.
Back then, I tested with this, and it seems to replace the Project Brutality's HMG (that weapon with the FMJ mode).., and there's a bug when aiming down sights, and reloading requires the press the aim key which looks like a bug. Furthermore, there's the "double" error thingy message appearing??
I do want to point out that the PB version of this mod when used with PB, there's a bug with the reload. When I tap the r button, it doesn't reload. Just thought I'd give a heads up.
