We will include a readme in such an archive next time, thank you for pointing that out. I wasn't the person who packed this but I will forward this to all of the team.

You could actually just navigate to the /maps/ folder of this .zip and just put these maps into your bg2/maps/, there are no further dependencies like materials that come with this map pack.

You just extract it to your Sourcemods folder. The zip contains the file structure from then on in, so it should place the files in with the rest of your BG2 maps.

It is pretty amazing to see how long some things from BG1 actually last. We still use the new first person weapon models steve made for 1.0f if you know that, just improved the textures on them.

Line battles are the cancer that is killing Battlegrounds 2. Those servers are ruining the game by siphoning off the player base. Also all the admins of those servers are douche bags.

What you got against line battles? It's a different kind of game and when you got a good commander they are quite fun. Of course there is much more strategy involved in those maps, than in the capture the flag ones. However, some people (like me) like that.
