Description

This mod is designed to be playable with any Doom wads, a friendly mod that spawns allies to help you in battle. It is worth noting that this mod can copy the current player's skin so it's just not your typical Doom guy sprite! Heck it can be played with Hexen, Heretic, or even Strife (the weapon choice might not be suited tho, but it is the best I can do :)) This mod is edited by me to better suit current gameplay experience. Funny I had a idea
for Mod that randomly spawn friendlies
all over the map by using the item placement scripts
as spawn points.

Like a "Friendly Encounters" Generator mod

That Spawn like Helpful Scientist to Marines
that kinda act like Half Life 1 friendlies
Scientist can drop medkits and Marines drops handgun bullets.
and if they die they drop items too.
and take orders to stay or follow the player.

good idea. there are other actors we can replace e.g Deadmarine, Blursphere (most useless item in the game imo), etc etc. by doing this we can avoid sacrificing items and ammos essential to the gameplay :)

Yeah something like that,
not if there's other ways to randomly spawn them?.
and maybe a able to edit the randomizer
in the menu too.
like able to spawn 0 or 10
of each character
NPCs Stats

Scientist
HP: 80
Weapons & Skills: Scientist have no weapons,
He only randomly drop small med kits for the player when the player's health is below 50 or lower percent.
If the Scientist dies, he'll just drops a small med kit.

Security Guard
HP: 120
Weapons & Skills: The Security Guard only have a pistol/handgun to fight off demons/enemies.
And If he dies, he only drops the handgun and ammo for it.

Marines
HP: 200
Weapons & Skills: These guys come in two types only,
Machinegun and Shotgun and able to throw grenades.
And if they die, they drop the weapon and ammo they are carrying.

Maybe using the Brutal friends script for the follow and stay script, but take away/remove the friend's teleporting to the player feature.

I'm not a modder tho just a sprite editor.

i dont think it's possible to use a randomizer in decorate, you'd have to replace the actor completely for it to work properly. I never tried it since im only used to coding in zdoom only. maybe it's possible in zscript but i have zero percent knowledge in that field.

brutal friends mod actually inspired me to do this. i tried making it as closely related and gameplay efficient as possible since the teleporting feature in brutal friends needed some fixing on.

perhaps i can consider making one in the future but for now im focused on making friendly follower mods that accompany the player :)

These are good examples but they all use zscript which is out of my field. I want to make a mod that is atleast compatible with the latest and last build of zdoom 2.8.1 and zandronum too.

I'll be posting a new and polished ally follower mod later so please look forward to it!
