Let the games begin!

Asylum 7 Studios has decided to start a video tutorial series on using Cgda to create a fully playable game from start to finish. Since this is a video series, the text content will be light, but we will do our best to address any questions you might have.

What we'll be covering

First and foremost, this is not a series on "how to make a Pong clone". Instead we are focusing on using the features of Cgda to make the process of making nearly any game much easier and hassle-free. Some of the features we're going to go over include:

  • Setting up the development environment
  • Creating the application framework
  • Defining game components
  • Loading assets
  • Drawing sprites with scaling, rotation, and color blending
  • Drawing 3d models
  • Vector math
  • Matrix & Quaternion based transformations
  • Orthographic Projections
  • Handling game events
  • Game state management

We may even go over multiplayer support through Cgda

If this framework interests you, head over to our Kickstarter page at Kck.st!
