Post tutorial Report RSS Adding usable weapons to the map

You created a map, added everything and one thing is missing... And that thing is a gun... Testing your map without adding any guns will lead you to test map unarmed, and no one wants that... If you don't know how to add weapons, keep reading this tutorial...

So, map is finished, everything is fine and you want to add guns to the game? It is simple, trust me.

First, click right button on your mouse and go

Add > Object

and scroll down to the bottom of the list and find object called

WeaponItem

and click OK.

Gun should appear on the spawn marker (those 3 green lines)


By default it is set to be an Assault Rifle, but you can change it in

Properties tab in the WeaponType option.

You can lock the weapon so no one can pick up, if you are making MP map

you can just put to be available to one team and stuff like that.

All weapons are available from the main game, NOT from

expansions, so no Minigun, Laser Carbine and stuff like that.


To add medkit and armor, go again Add > Object when you press RMB

and on the list find one object called

GearItem

And choose in GearType what it will be.
