This being a PR website for mods. If a mod wants voters they can do some PR and make a news post amirite?
No complaining that nobody pays attention to 'good' mods that don't bother posting news updates or media. They could be a dead or inactive mod for all anyone knows.
Some mods with excellent returns from their PR were left out in the cold this time too, it just seems the public is disproportionally skewed towards FPS games and dislike the harder to do mods like total conversions. At least, that's the trend displayed.
It's very good i always love IOTY and MOTY but you guys need to be abit more oganzied with it all. Other than that though been great and my game is in Top 100 anyway :D.
This poll doesn't make that much sense...I mean it's our opinions, so most of us like it, only people that don't are those that didn't get their mods in, but don't worry cause your time will come too! ;)
But i still voted for Awesome-Sauce! :D
1. no im not bitter because I didn't get to 100, didn't expect it XD
2. I think that mods that were not released in the same year as the award should not be included in the voting for best released, since they are old news. I noticed quite a bit of that in the top 100. I think old mods with established communities exploit it to keep their old content in the top.
On the bright side, Sins of the Prophets looks awesome for upcoming and call of the fireflies was unique.
"It's okay" I guess. Not blistering but also not as bad as IOTY results. But some entries really astonish me as they have nothing lost in the top100 for various reasons (mentioned by other posters already).
Great event for every year! Ofcourse it's awesome!
Sometimes I manage to miss some great mods which eventually get to top 100.
Good work everyone who got their projects to top 100 and those who were unlucky this year - just keep working, hope to see more mods next year.
Voted Awesome-Sauce, cause Sauce is awesome, and I'm a Sauce, so that means I'm awesome and that means ModDB is awesome, because everytime I log in a Bekey dies and the ModDB's Awesome-Sauce-o-Meter starts rising further off the charts of awesome.
Ppl say it's skewed towards FPS, but I see a lot of non-FPS engines and game out there. A bunch of RTS titles, even one for sins of solar empire (really fun realtime 4X title - like Civilization in real time in space). Then there's mods like Mechwarrior: Living Legends, Earth's Special Forces, HL2 Wars that are doing totally different things with their engines. Sure, most ppl want their FPS, but I think we have a good representation of stuff here. Mods that didn't make it probably have limited promo, limited media, didn't update this cycle, or don't have an established fan community (critical for a mod)
Wow, 4 votes XD. and they're all awesome-sauce.
i voted awesome sauce just because its a great saying.
Jop Awsome sauce hehehe^^
In soviet russia, poll votes on you.

1 voter didnt get his mod into the top 100.
no its 2...absolutly no big news. the mods with "new" news in the front page got the votes, not the one with real content. voters are this stupid?

Ouch, he's getting downvoted. Kamikaze you should go into more depth about the things you are suggesting.
Well, his comment is buried.
So now he's got into depth.

There wouldn't be 100 mods to vote for then...

It's alright but man it kinda sucks that SHIFT didn't get nominated for Upcoming Mod of the Year.
And to be honest there's no ******* way Black Mesa : Source is being released.
Adding to the many hundreds of votes, I would dare say that 'Awesome-Sauce' was my utmost chosen pick and now I bid you all adieu!
i say nay to this crap.
(as i can't seem to see the list)
it's okay, in my opinion.
