LOST ALPHA - DEVELOPER'S CUT 1.4007
As the holidays come closer, it is finally time to release a new version of Lost Alpha. We have put a lot of work into polishing the mod, both old and new members alike, and we hope it will please both the veterans, the new players, and the die-hard naysayers.
We have included a lot of mods in this release, both polished versions of the old ones, and brand new mods, like the beautiful Extended Weather. What's also new, is that Lost Alpha has a new launcher, which will greatly improve the experience of managing the game and the mods. Keen eyes will also notice new shaders, and a new map based on an old GSC concept of "Level 12".
This is also partially a sad occasion, because as of this version, the development of Lost Alpha as we know it ceases. Thank you for the ride!
However, as we all know - when one door closes, another one opens. Two new projects have begun, so there's a lot to look forward!

From the little mod that removed the fence from the maps, then Priboi Story and now Lost Alpha. Good work Dezowave Team, and have successes in the new projects that are about to come and that is a great success as Lost Alpha was.
Really sad to see this Mod go, but you know what they say, all good things must come to an end. 😿

Golden days of STALKER and our dreams are still alive thanks to you. The young and hopeful kid in me from 2007, is still there, even for a moment, also thanks to you.

But is there possibility to have english audio? I got intro with both eng and rus audio, and after starting a game Sidorovich speaks in russian. user.ltx is set to eng.

I was about to reinstall LA for another playthrough when this came out, great timing. Excellent work, very slick and professional. I'm impressed with the configurator/launcher, really good.
Thats a sad news but hopefully those new projects will share at least the same quality like LA or even surpass it. Looking forward any info.
I just reached Agroprom, so I barely started playing, but I already have to say that this is the best stalker game I have ever played, even better than CoP. So well balanced and so much better than the first Lost Alpha! It's even possible to play it sneaky peaky, so cool! I just hope the game will not start crashing in later parts, but it looks promising as I had ZERO crashes so far (unbelieveable). Thank you so much for this "mod", it's really taking all the best from all the stalker games and adds a plenty of good things on top.

Dear DezTeam ! 2007 was a year to remember... played all three of the or. STALKER games and many many of the magnificent,.. okay... maybe some less magnificent to.. ;-) mods there were made... L.A. is of course one of my favo's.... I'm still dreamin' of Stalker2.. ;-)
Installed this last version and my question is: any chance of a db-file unpacker for DC-1.4007 ??
Of course i've tried to use some of the "old" unpackers but that doesn't work.. (crash) and yes, yes yes.... I know... I know... it's cheating... but isn't that up to the player ?

How to enable developer mode? I see that game run with those param:
-noprefetch -nospawncheck -ss_tga.
But how to set parameter to the launcher? I tried -developer_mode on XR_3DA.exe but no luck. It says that can't find system.ltx even if i have it unpacked in the gamedata\config folder.

Ok figure out developer_mode. But in brutal HEX Edit way... But it works!

Ok find out better way how to enable devmode.
Create bat file where you have installed LA and put in:
start bins\XR_3DA.exe -noprefetch -nospawncheck -ss_tga -developer
Save and Run game through bat file.

Any idea why my game crashes instantly before i could make it to the main menu? Log sais i'm missing upgrade_properties.ltx. I wanted to test what happenes if i copy it from clear sky's directory. It accepted it but then i got a way long list of missing files, mostly from weapons subdir. Any ideas on how to fix it? I only installed some mods that were given as an option during the installiton, such as the autumn pack, water fix for radeon vgas, weather pack, so basically nothing serious. I dismissed the prm pack. Could it happen that it occured the installation not to install a lot of weapon files?

It crushes sometimes when autosaving or quicksaving or just for no reason, but it's still playable and enjoyable. A lot harder than any previous version due to lack of no bugs found. Anyway, I'm still looking for technician lost data (Internal thermal regulation system schematics) for like 3 days now...

Help me plesase i get this crashes randomly
its a little late but you should change your rendering method in graphic settings, from dx 10 to something else (if supported). error you posted refers to dx10 renderer, so better change it, as in some mods dx10 doesnt work well, use dx9 or dx11 instead (IF availble).
Is it a patch or a whole new install ? Where is the file,btw ?

Hello Dezowave, I have a strange bug with the footsteps in the game. Especially when I move to the left or the right the footstep sound panns very odd to the right or left. It sound very unnatural and annoying. When I look down to my legs it gets a little better, but it's still very odd. I use the updated version which works fine except for the footsteps. Do you have a workaround or a fix for me? Thx! :)
