Now that the ModDB page for this thing is up, it's time to post the first formal update.
Deliverance 2600 was started about a week ago. In that time, I've invested as much time as possible to working on it. In terms of total hours, it's hard to give a rough estimate since I haven't exactly kept track of them, but either way, progress has most definitely been made.
At the time of writing this, Deliverance 2600 is still in its pre-pre-alpha stage. It should not take too long for me to get a pre-alpha build ready, though. To clear things up a little, I will now provide you with a list of things that have been implemented and a list of things that I hope to implement by the pre-alpha build.
So here's what's been implemented so far:
- Custom status bar
- Custom weapon
- Missiles
- 2 enemy types
- Dynamic lights
And what more I hope to implement for the pre-alpha:
- 4-5 more enemy types
- Alternate HUD
Not that bad now, is it? Well, not yet anyway. Besides the stuff for the pre-alpha, there's still a whole lot of stuff to implement, but hey, that's what updates are for, right? I'll post updates here on a (hopefully) regular basis, at least whenever a new build is ready. The average update here will probably look similar to this one.
Stay tuned for more!
