An important vote to decide PUNT's future visual style and overall direction!

Posted by on

Some of those who've seen the two art styles of PUNT: Rebirth hate the virtual design, and like the realistic design, or vice versa, while others are content with both. We at Corrupted Studios want to bring you the best possible recreation of PUNT, instead of trying to combine two art styles which our audience won't be satisfied with. Therefore, the future depends on you, the future players! We've created a poll to help decide where we'll go from here, and the result will shape PUNT: Rebirth's design.

If you really want, you can comment, choosing from: Realistic, futuristic 60's style, simplistic red blue and white style, or a combo of both.

I like the original plan, starting with the plain and progressing into a more realistic style. Like Portal 2, starting with overgrown and progressing to a fixed aperture.

This way, you could even add a story line to it, if you wanted. A changing art style could be translated to improving testing software or something. The labs get more realistic, in addition to more testing mechanics. Could be cool.

I think the realistic looks much better.

In the screenshots and videos with the simplistic colors, everything kind of clashes since some models have shadows and there is no light source.
