Zero-K released PlanetWars ( see design documents: Code.google.com).
Its a clan-based online campaign system for zero-k, where the outcome of battles influences the ownership of worlds on a galaxy map.
Once you and your faction gain enough influence on a planet to own it, you can earn credits and build structures to enhance your territory and unlock technologies.
