Release Date and Discord

I bring exciting news today, as I officially announce the release date of One Vision 0.9. No other release has seen more intense work in terms of visuals effects, content and balance and I am quite proud to set the release date to 11th June 2018. However, I also have many other exciting news for you.

First of all, I made a Discord channel and many have joined already. You can download the latest beta builds from here and make bug reports or rendezvous with other people to play the mod. Secondly, we have more tournaments planned for the mod (more details about that later on).

ovimageFuture Tournaments

Gamereplays.org and Phantom9399 will also be running several tournaments to celebrate One Vision Mod 0.9's release, there will be a wide range of tournaments which both new player's and pro's can participate in including a 1vs1, 2vs2 and 4 player FFA tournament. These tournaments may also have cash prizes included in them, so keep an eye out on details about that.

What’s in the release?

This version has been extensively play-tested to ensure all of the factions are as balanced as possible. Mind you, it is hard to balance all 9 factions and we do suspect an overpowered unit will slip through the testing (looking at you manhunter's). However I am confident that there will be no major imbalances in this version.

Furthermore, a major effort went into turn less viable choices in the game into useable assets. I performed countless balance changes, balancing redesigns and increased the diversity of factions as a whole. Finally, ZOCOM and Reaper-17 received a faction wide reskin.

Another major addition are the mew tier 4 units, including the RRF Kodiak, BH Aftershock and MoK Basilisk. These units are not meant to be overpowered but support and round out all factions in the late game. I have also done several major balance tweaks so all counters in the game work as intended.

What took you so long?

Your are all probably wondering why the mod has been delayed for so long. Well, I focused on finishing my studies and had an exciting exchange semester in Finland. I could not dedicate as much time as I wanted to create the best and most polish experience since I started it in 2013.

What to expect in the future?

A lot of people are wondering if this will be the last version of the One Vision mod, but at this stage in time I am not able to say if it is the last version. The fact is, I am coming close to my vision of having 9 unique factions. I want everything in the game to have its own place and my priorities shift more towards balance changes, bug fixes as well as additional quality of life changes.

I have realized that when playing against any Steel Talon AI, they never build the tank armory. It Should be like that? And also the game crashes sometimes, but nice job, i think this is one of the best mods (if not the best) that i have ever tried

I never had that problem. What kind of AI was that?
Was it maybe turtle or brutal?

I will note it as a bug. It wont make it into the upcoming release, but hopefully the one after that.
