For some people this media update just couldn’t come soon enough *waves to the whole 2 people in the audience*. And since were a community modification with a heart of gold - well lets just say we’ve got some tasty morsels for you.

This month we are showcasing the augmented Bob Page model – you know, the Bob Page that appears right at the end of the game where he’s inside that huge tank and shimmering more than a sparkly thing? He tries to get funky by taunting you throughout the level but he then changes his tack, trying to woo you to his side with his pathetic offers of fame, power and fortune. Phasmatis has made this augmented Bob look VERY scary. It’s not complete yet as he needs connecting to a load of wires as per the original, but he’s doing just nicely! Expect some video footage of scary Bob in action in our next update.

From the master of the toilets! (Now how’s that for a classy introduction?) Comes the progress of 2 new character models. Ajare has been feverishly working on his character modelling skills in conjunction with our 3D Consultant, Phasmatis. He’s really come on leaps and bounds, and doesn’t it show? The models are still alpha mode yet as they need detail adding – but check out the improvement over the originals! Here’s Maggie Chow and Gary Savage – ain’t they a lovely couple?

We have more fantastic screenshots of objects provided by regulars, JayJay and Pedro. They include toilets, ships wheel, laser emitter, flask - oh just go check them out in the gallery ;-).

With such good news however, I must bring sorrow. Our long time Lead 2D Artist and indeed friend of HDTP has had to move quietly on from this mod. In recent weeks his heart has been turned in a different direction (not physically! That’s just wrong on so many levels!). His once former love of graphics and web design has been replaced by his love of music. The guy wants to follow and realise his dream of being a great musical artist. Here’s wishing you all the best Smooth – we hope you reach your ambition one day. And thank you for being such a wonderful graphics artist :-).
