If it's an alternate way to restore a small amount of health it's fine, but if you have this system because you are planning some sort of "hunger bar" I totally don't support it, because in that case it adds an unnecessary micromanagement element that it can do without. The Black Snow mod had a "freezing in the cold" mechanic, but that's not an option either, because Gordon has a HEV suit, with the cold just draining its power, so the better and more fun gameplay elements should come from something else IMO.
indeed, yes, the food system will be just for fun, no hunger bar maybe just health addition.
Now we can have a drinking system to wash down all that food.

this may be implemented as a health addition item or it might be just for fun, we're working out the mechanics for that now..

he got hungry a few days ago...
Since the only thing he ate was headcrab chop with barnacle jerkies.
i thought that this would be a serious mod because it goes on were Hl2 left of, and when that it the case then this all is really out of place when you ask me. Those eating sounds are horrible then, also are these models very low poly, specially the round container.
should you have changed the goal of the mod in to some kind of humor mod, then this is all ok. otherwise it will really destroy the whole thing. because humor in a serious story will make that one of the two will feel very much out of place.

The mod will be serious but will contain some very small and subtle comic moments. That is how the whole half-life series was. There were always little funny things that happened here and there. The mod will certainly not be a comedy mod, the mod will simply have some moments of humour. I hope this resolves your dilema! Thanks for the comment!
