Post news Report RSS GDI Infantry and something to transport them.

Today, unfortunately, I cannot present any ingame screenshots, since I had to reinstall CnC3 recently and didn't update it yet.

Hello there =o

I've got two new finished GDI Units, the Light Infantry and the APC.

Armed Personel Transport - Cost: 900$

The APC is not exactely the fastest way to get across the battlefield, but pretty much the safest one. It has a relatively weak auto cannon on top, which can only fire to the sides and forwards, not backwards however. Has a capacity of 6 infantry units.

-----------------

Light Infantry - Cost: 200$
The backbone of the GDI Forces is the Infantry. Commanders can train them with several different configurations, like assault infantry, anti vehicle solder or jumpjet trooper. The Commando configuration also features a jetpack and a nanomechanical suit which help to move faster and aim with more accuracy.

That's all for now.

Hehe, they ain't actually nanosuits, rather...nano joints, since there are only at the knees and elbows, etc, not the entire body.

That´s kinda... stupid, y´know? The Nanosuit is a nano-augmented (material wise) suit of artificial muscles - you cannot have this only at the joints, else it simply doesn´t work.
If you just meant to say it´s some nano phlebotinum that shares its name with the crysis one - it´s much less efficient to apply this only to the actual joint area as this´d require much more energy/force.

You're right, but...Ain't Tiberium kinda stupid too? And Orcas that fly via two little farts of engines?

one question 900$ for one squad or one man. like i don't remember having to pay 900$ for any one Infantry not even a anti tank one( well except units like commandos , boris from yr , and those kinds of level 3 or 4 units) .Please explain why a APC is the same price as Light Infantry and I'm sorry if this comment seams stupid.

I would assume 900 credits is a whole squad. They where 120 in TS if I'm not mistaken, though they might have been only 90. Down side is, in all RTS games like CnC these infantry units never get used :/

No, I accidentally wrote 900, but I wanted to write 200. Also, the ligt infantry now has a special ability, which allows them to plant a anti infantry mine. And it's no longer a squad, it's now single infantry again.
