Details the future of Full Invasion 2, what we have recently been working on, and the new factions which are being added in the next update!

Greetings, Defenders

It has now been over two months since the release of Amber, and we are happy to say that things have gone along nicely since then. The majority of players have been able to enjoy the latest version much more than they have been able to with previous versions. Today we will be talking about the future of Full Invasion 2, and also what we have been working on since even before Amber’s full release.

Amber was about creating a platform for us to work from for later versions of the module. The backend was in quite a state of disrepair before development on Amber, so the majority of work went into correcting that. As players will know from the latest version, we also managed to add a number of new features. While these changes can be small on their own, they all come together to create an experience much richer than any previous version.

Our main priority from this point onward is to make the best use of our new platform. We will do this by adding to, and expanding, the factions found within Full Invasion 2: Amber. We will be the first to say that there are some factions in the mod that, frankly, shouldn’t be there. The previous development team didn't put much thought into them, or simply didn’t explore them to their full potential. These factions lack the variety, depth, or content needed to justify such a significant portion of the module.

Through future updates, we will be expanding existing factions to a higher degree of quality. This will be accomplished by creating new troop classes, items, and scaling stats across the mod to some form of balance. This is a massive undertaking, but it’s something we feel needs to be done to make the module as good as it should be.

In addition to expanding the existing factions, we hope to add entirely new factions to our roster. These new factions will be content-complete upon their arrival, and on the same level of quality as we are bringing the existing factions up to. This means that, hopefully, each faction will have a uniqueness to make them a viable and entertaining choice to play as.

In this next update, we are looking to add four brand new factions, as well as expanding two popular existing factions. In total, this will make for three new defending factions and three new invading factions. These factions will all be released in the same update, and will require players to download an updated version of Full Invasion 2 to make use of. We are also hoping to add new, faction-related maps in this version.

The new factions to be added are:

Defending -

Warhammer Fantasy - Empire of Sigmar

Historical - Crusader States

Historical - Saracen Kingdom

Invading -

Warhammer Fantasy - Storm of Chaos

Historical - Holy Crusaders

Historical - Saracen Tribes

Some screenshots have been included throughout this post to give a taste of what’s to come. Over the next few weeks, we will be releasing articles detailing each faction specifically, as well as some additional features being added to this update.
