Version 9.9.3:

  • Fixed: In the "Nuclear Winter" Co-Op mission enemy nuke silos now take longer to activate to offset for nuke balance changes made since the mission's release (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: In the "Distant Thunder" Co-Op mission players now receive some starting units to offset for balance changes made since the mission's release (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: "Freezing Offensive" Co-Op mission (Credits: Rampastring):
    - The difficulty was slightly reduced to account for balance changes made since the mission's release.
    - The western player's Cruisers' weapons were unable to reach enemy units on the river due to balance changes made since the mission's release.

  • Fixed: Non-isometric sandbag walls didn't have proper shadows (Credits: Bittah Commander).

  • Changed: Behemoth:
    - Its projectiles are now more accurate.
    - It can no longer target aircraft.
    - Its hit points are now increased by 50% when it becomes veteran.
    - Its weapon will now fire 11% faster when it becomes elite.
  • Changed: Illuminator:
    - Its price has been increased from 2300 to 2500.
    - Its splash damage has been reduced by 75%.
    - Its rate of fire has been reduced by 8%.
  • Changed: Harvesters now consider distance to refinery when selecting which Tiberium patch to harvest (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: Submarines now use the submerging sound effect from Red Alert instead of the regular cloaking sound effect (Credits: CCHyper).
  • Changed: The AI now also considers large groups of infantry a potentially lucrative nuke target (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: The Nuke now additionally spawns some flames on the ground of the impact area (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: DTA now makes use of the full version of the "Vinifera" engine extension (Credits: CCHyper, Rampastring).
  • Fixed: The ORCA and Longbow's rate of fire would become significantly slower if they were somehow prevented from firing the second missile of a burst.
  • Fixed: "Ore Conflict" multiplayer map:
    - The AI didn't build naval yards or ships (Credits: Bittah Commander).
    - Units couldn't properly navigate from the south-east starting location to the northern island (Credits: Craftsman, Mehdi860).
  • Fixed: The "Freezing Offensive" Co-Op mission was harder than intended due to balance changes made in patches since its release and has been re-balanced.
  • Fixed: Several long-ranged units slowed down to fire one or two cells before they actually got within firing range (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: Multiple bugs that could cause automated saves (in both singleplayer and multiplayer) to get corrupted (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Removed: Christmas props.
  • Removed: The "Lesson in Blood" Co-Op mission.
  • Known Issue: Multiplayer saved games sometimes desync right after they have been loaded. However, this is not consistent. If this happens, you can try loading the save again, try an earlier save, or just start the mission again from the beginning. We'll keep investigating for a fix.


Version 9.8.2:
Released: Dec 15, 2022

  • Added: Christmas props.
  • Fixed: On the "Switching Islands" multiplayer map you "Battlefield Control" structure's appearance has been changed from a Radar Dome to a Forward Command Center, which can now only be captured on your opponent's side of the map and the client now displays an explanation over the map's preview image.

  • Fixed: The defensive structures around the Civilian outposts on the "Frozen Bay" multiplayer map attacked the outpost's own walls and ships weren't able to move under the south-west bridge.
  • Fixed: The Map Editor was unable to update and as a result it was no longer compatible with DTA's latest version.
  • Fixed: The Map Renderer wasn't working anymore.


Version 9.8.0:

  • Added: The Ammo Crates from TS were added as a map prop (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Changed: The in-game mission briefing screens have been improved for all factions by upscaling the backgrounds, adding a text box and adjusting the font colors (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Changed: Green Tiberium now does 37.5% less damage against infantry that walk over it.
  • Changed: The Grenade Launcher infantry will now go prone when fired upon and it can now be crushed by tanks.
  • Changed: The Chem Warrior and the Machine-Gunner will no longer go prone when fired upon.
  • Changed: The Shock Trooper and Chem Warrior now have 19% more hit-points.
  • Changed: The Machine-Gunner now does 20% less damage against heavy armor (tanks).
  • Changed: The Machine-Gunner now only gains a faster rate of fire when it becomes veteran and the buff to its elite weapon has been toned down to compensate.
  • Changed: The Disc Launcher now has 20% more hit-points.
  • Changed: The A-10 Warthog now has 22% more hit-points, its speed was reduced by 11% and its price was reduced from 1700 to 1500 credits.
  • Changed: The Yak now does 6% less damage against wood armor (recon units and buildings) and 20% less damage against heavy armor (tanks).
  • Changed: The ORCA's price was reduced from 1100 to 1000 credits.
  • Changed: The MIG now does 20% more damage against light armor (artillery and support units) and heavy armor (tanks).
  • Changed: Nod's Stealth APC now requires the Temple of Nod to be built again, instead of the Research Facility.
  • Changed: The Chrono Tank can no longer attack airborne targets.
  • Changed: The Soviet Flamethrower Infantry's rate of fire has been slowed down by 20%, its damage against infantry was reduced by 10% and its damage against buildings and recon units has been reduced by 20%.
  • Changed: The Anti-Aircraft Truck now has 19% more range against ground targets, it does 28% more damage against aircraft and its price has been increased from 400 to 500 credits.
  • Changed: The X-O Power Suit's rail-gun now uses a new sound (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: The SSM Launcher often missed its targets.
  • Fixed: The charge time for the Allied and Soviet Nuclear Strike super weapon was 5% longer than intended.
  • Fixed: The Shock Trooper didn't automatically fire at enemy vehicles/tanks.
  • Fixed: Nod's Barbed Wire had pixels that didn't properly darken on dark maps.


Version 9.7.5:
Released: Sep 10, 2022

  • Added: A Civlian Armory map prop (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Changed: When a nuke is launched the warning klaxon can now be heard around the target site the moment the nuke's target has been chosen, which will give players more time to move their units out of the way.
  • Fixed: On rare occasions the Chrono Vortex would deal no damage (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: There was tiberium on top of a rock on "Sand Trap", which could cause harvesters to get stuck when they'd harvest it (Credits: Rampastring).


Version 9.7.1:

  • Changed: The Chrono Vortex super weapon now spawns a reversed Chronosphere animation that collapses into the Chrono Vortex (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Changed: The Chrono Vortex now deals a more consistent amount of damage and deals less about 8% less damage to structures.
  • Fixed: The Chrono Vortex could randomly deal double overall damage.


Version 9.7.0:
Released: Aug 20, 2022

  • Added: New multiplayer maps "Keep off the Grass", "Super Bridgehead Redux" and "Ore Conflict" (Credits: Chronoseth, Mehdi860).
  • Added: The Grenade Launcher GDI infantry (Credits: Pinkthoth).
  • Added: The Machine Gunner Allied infantry (Credits: Pinkthoth).
  • Changed: Some adjustments were made to the "Hardpoints" multiplayer map to improve balance and path-finding (Credits: Mehdi860).
  • Changed: The Chrono Vortex now remains 50% longer and its damage has been re-balanced (Credits: Bittah Commander, Rampastring).
  • Changed: The Stealth Generator now has light instead of wood armor and its hitpoints were increased by 27% so that it can survive an Ion Cannon or a nuke impact.
  • Changed: The hitpoints of the GDI and Nod War Factories have been increased by 10%, making GDI's match with the Allies and Soviets.
  • Changed: The Allied Medium Tank now only requires a Radar Dome to be built instead of a Tech Center and its price has been increased from 725 to 750.
  • Changed: The Behemoth now requires a Service Depot to be built, it no longer needs to accelerate to reach its top speed and can now turn much faster.
  • Changed: The Mobile Sensor Array's armor and hitpoints were adjusted to match the Heavy Tank, which now allows it to survive a direct nuke impact.
  • Changed: The Flame Tank now does a bit less damage at its maximum range.
  • Changed: The nuke now does 40% less damage against vehicles.
  • Fixed: The Hard AI could sometimes build a Subterranean APC instead of the intended Stealth APC.
  • Fixed: You'll now hear a ping sound again instead of "Enemy Unit Approaching" when the Mobile Sensor Array detects stealth.
  • Fixed: A part of the Chrono Tank remained visible while teleporting in certain directions.
  • Fixed: The Comm. Center's radar dish animation wasn't removed when the Ion Cannon Uplink upgrade was placed over it (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: The Ranger's turret was positioned too low on the chassis (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: Nukes are now able to destroy low bridges again, which prevents the northern bridge from remaining in tact in the "A Bridge Too Far" mission (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: Missile Submarines and the Soviet Transport Hovercraft missed their target when firing in certain angles.


Version 9.6.5:

  • Changed: The Allied APC's price was changed from 800 to 700 credits in enhanced mode.
  • Fixed: In the "Ally Under Siege" and "Liberation Extermination" Co-Op missions you were given a nuke instead of an airstrike.
  • Fixed: The Airstrike super weapon in the third "The Toxic Diversion" mission used the wrong mouse cursor animation and sidebar icon.
  • Fixed: The Chemical Multi-Missile in the final "The Toxic Diversion" mission(s) now looks like an actual (green) multi-missile and its clusters now spread out instead of dropping straight down (Credits: Bittah Commander).

  • Changed: Some repeating enemy reinforcements that spawned out of nowhere in the "Liberation Extermination" Co-Op mission were removed (Credits: Tiberius).
  • Changed: The Chrono Tank now needs to charge before it can transform to teleport mode and teleport around, it has been re-balanced and its turret has been removed (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: Ants used the wrong facings.
  • Fixed: Many of the Quad Tank's successive shots weren't audible (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: There was no announcement when your nuclear missile finished charging.
  • Fixed: The "Ingame Allying" game option wouldn't actually be disabled when it was unchecked.
  • Fixed: The second Construction Yards of Extreme AI players had far less health than intended.
  • Fixed: Maps could crash when they had pre-placed civilian harvesters and refineries (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: The ability for harvesters to jump the queue when a farther away harvester is already trying to dock with a refinery has been removed for multiplayer matches because it caused players to desynchronize (Credits: Rampastring).


Version 9.5.2:
Released: May 16, 2022

  • Fixed: The game failed to start on systems that didn't have a certain C++ Runtime version installed (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: Units were able to cross rivers next to any south-east facing water cave (Credits: Bittah Commander).

  • Changed: The Soviet Flamethrower Infantry's rate of fire has been reduced by 40% and its damage against everything but tanks and ships was raised to compensate.
  • Changed: The Chem Warrior's graphics have been remade (Credits: Pinkthoth).
  • Changed: The Gatling Tank has been renamed to Quad Tank, the small Gatling cannon barrel has been removed, the quad barrels were re-positioned towards the center, their angle has been lowered and it now uses those barrels against both ground and air targets (Credits: Lin Kuei Ominae).
  • Changed: Nuclear missiles now deal more damage to small objects (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: The AI now considers vehicle groups as valid nuke targets (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: The "Frostbite" mission has been adjusted to match the latest balance (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: There was a rare chance that the Longbow reinforcements in the Sarin Gas mission failed to destroy the radar dome, which caused battlefield control to remain locked.
  • Fixed: AI units will no longer attack indestructible terrain objects (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: The AI didn't function properly on the "Island Conquest" map.
  • Fixed: The cave tunnel of the "Mayday" mission didn't function properly (Credits: Craftsman).
  • Fixed: Many missiles and tracers no longer disappear mid-flight if their target dies prematurely (Credits: Rampastring).

  • Changed: The maximum size of maps that the map editor can create and open has been increased from 200x200 to 256x256 (Credits: E1 Elite, Secsome).

  • Changed: The Chrono Tank now requires the Chronosphere instead of the Advanced Tech Center to be produced.
  • Changed: The Cyborg Prototype now requires the Research Facility instead of the Temple of Nod to be produced.
  • Changed: Increased Heavy tank HP from 4200 to 4400.
  • Changed: Increased Heavy tank damage by 13%.
  • Changed: Lowered Heavy tank weapon range by about half a cell (8.8%, 6.25 -> 5.7).
  • Changed: Lowered Heavy tank cost to 950 from 960.
  • Changed: Increased GDI Mammoth tank HP by 5%.
  • Changed: Increased GDI Mammoth tank cannon damage by 7%.
  • Changed: Increased Soviet Mammoth tank HP by 5.6%.
  • Changed: Increased Soviet Mammoth tank cannon damage by 19% and increased the missile damage against infantry by 30%.
  • Changed: Increased the Behemoth's weapon damage by 27% against heavy armor (tanks) and concrete armor (ships) and by 15% against all other targets (infantry, structures and light vehicles).
  • Changed: The "Under Siege II" mission has been ported from Classic mode to Enhanced mode and received various tweaks (Credits: Bittah Commander, Craftsman).
  • Changed: The "Sarin Gas 1" and "Sarin Gas 2" missions have been ported from Classic mode to Enhanced mode and received various tweaks (Credits: Bittah Commander, Tiberius).
  • Changed: The Heavy Raider now uses a new model (Credits: Flame).
  • Changed: The "Freezingly Desperate Grip" Co-Op mission has been made easier on all difficulties to offset for balance changes made in recent updates (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Changed: There is now 8% more time between scripted attack and MCV waves in the "Multiplicating Force" Co-Op mission on all difficulties (Credits: Rampastring).
  • Fixed: The Commando and Tanya now only auto-target infantry.
  • Fixed: In the "The Experiment Lab" Co-Op mission the enemy's laser turrets had no explosion and no sell animation and the Chemical Hovercraft moved far far slower than intended.
  • Fixed: In the "Freezing Offensive" Co-Op mission the Chronosphere building was invisible and didn't provide the Chrono Vortex super weapon.
  • Fixed: The Tiberium Harvester appeared grayed-out on the sidebar when Allies or Soviet owned a Tiberium Refinery and likewise the Ore Miner appeared grayed-out on the sidebar when GDI or Nod owned an Ore Refinery (NCO bug).
  • Fixed: A few units had bright pixels on dark maps (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: You were able to pass though some of the cliffs on the "King of the Hill" mode variant of the "Tunnel Train-ing" multiplayer map.
  • Fixed: Heavy Raiders no longer damage one another when firing at a target directly adjacent to them.
  • Fixed: One of the fords on the left side of the "Sand Trap" map was made wider to prevent the AI from frequently getting stuck there (Credits: Bittah Commander).
  • Fixed: The "Multiplicating Force" Co-Op mission failed to load on Medium difficulty.
  • Fixed: The AI didn't always build naval yards on the "Stranded" multiplayer map.
  • Fixed: Tesla Coils were sometimes overlapped by brick walls that were behind it.
  • Removed: The "Turbo Vehicles" game option for skirmish and multiplayer can no longer be enabled and its checkbox has been removed.
  • Removed: The "Production Queuing game option for skirmish and multiplayer can no longer be disabled and its checkbox has been removed.

each new release seems to create new surprises. mix folder no longer renderer friendly..

[Fatal] Rules or art config file could not be loaded! You cannot render a YR/FS map without the expansion installed


this release might be broken. deleted it from test schedule for now..

I can't reproduce this issue.
Try deleting the map renderer folder (\Map Editor\Map Renderer) and then forcing an update (you can find the "Force Update" button under the "Updater" tab of the client's options menu) so that the folder gets restored; then see if the map renderer works again.
