I've just thrown up a Help Wanted request for a skinner on the PHL forums and also Wavelength, hopefully we'll get a reply, finally allowing us to fill in the development jigsaw in terms of talents required for a mod, and move towards an internal alpha. We'll need a sound artist sometime down the track, and a coder for some multiplayer elements also.
I've got alot of conflicting views in my head for the direction and mood of the multiplayer component - their is the enclosed environment gameplay of Natural Selection, which works well for Half-Life, and there is the outdoor, more war-like atmosphere of other sci-fi games like Tribes. I'm also really fond of the gameplay presented in the Firearms Mod map "Bocage" - very hectic, very war like, yet somehow contradicting outdoor environments under the HL engine - remaining very detailed, through use of good architecture - lots of lofts and little areas to move about in. I'd like the team (Particularly Donkey) to check out this map for Firearms (it's an official map included in the mod download) when you get the chance.
