Been doing a lot of work for the mod recently! Mostly exporting and finding incredibly beautiful assets to enrich the enviroments. While I can say that this process was quite long, I'm going to promise that the results are going to be totally worth it: you're going to have a small garden + bathhouse in ancient roman style with HQ architecture plus a fablelike forest with gorgeous elven ruins/homes situated in Artaeum (and, of course, Hammerfell).
Nothing you have seen before, in any mod. I swear.
Today I'm going to show you the work I've been doing on the latter.
ARTAEUM - ELVEN FOREST
I finally got to play Blood and Wine, the DLC from The Witcher 3. Amazing scenario and feels. The architecture of the palace and its gardens was a big source of inspiration.
I definitely wanted to have the patios, the balaustrades and the towers to create a Rivendell-like scenario (with more forest and foliage + an abandoned look) for Artaeum. Problem is, the exporter doesn't want to convert any asset from the DLC. I was able to import pretty much everything from the main game, but nothing from DLCs. If any of you can give me a hand I would be grateful!
So, while struggling to get those meshes, I started working on remodelling Artaeum.
I extracted the elven assets from The Witcher 2 and got some good tree resources, started playing with environments maps and...something was born. You can see the general concept from the screenshots.
If you've played The Witcher 2 you'll recognize these places too: a collapsed gate in the forest and an abandoned bath.
There is still work to do, but if I can finally extract those meshes from Blood and Wine I can finish this area in no time. Keep your finger crossed.
By the way...happy new year!
any chance you could share your models in a modder's resource? I keep trying and failing to convert the witcher files.
Check my Nexus' profile, the link is in the description of the mod. I've already published a ton of converted assets.
I've already downloaded them a few times. It just seems like you've converted more things. Thank you though.
Yes, I did convert some more, but I won't release them at the time being, they need much work before being easily usable by the public. Some nifskope work that I don't really have the time to do right now sadly.
That's fine, in the meantime, can't wait to explore the next version of your mod!
