Why hello there! The Summer season is nearing it´s conclusion and it might be the right time to say goodbye to hot summer days with our short summary of what has had happened behind the curtain during these hot summer days.

Posted by on

Those who carefully watch our space probably noticed that besides our Guard Duty summer update, we have also released several dev.blogs of which the last of which was released today. And what it was all about?

A Byte of Insight - Programming Dev Blog

This dev.blogs uncovers something we haven´t been talking about much in our updates. Tmast, one of our programmers wrote down his first about what he has been cooking for you to enhence your experience by adding some nice features to the Source engine. Get yourself familiar with just a fragments of some visual improvements for Operation Black Mesa and Guard Duty.

What's a Brush? - Chris's Prop Devblog (part 2)

Our artists never sleep and Chris is working round the clock to produce some top-tier models and textures. As usual, he pushes the Source Engine beyond its limits, creating crucial assets for level designers to create the stunning and realistic environments you will experience.

EGGs Prop Party

Our senior developer, Brandon, seems to be damn party boy. This endless party is something you don´t want to miss out. Throughout this summer, he has released several updates showcasing more of his artistic talent. And this party is not over yet.

Stranger Beings - AI Dev Blog

Quite sometime ago, we released a video showcasing our AI. Many of you was very curious what´s the current state of our AI system. Chris (Tmast) was working hard on improving and fixing our AI and he wants to show you that we take this bussiness seriously. For us, AI is very important for delivering you breathtaking and realistic experience. Our AI is not about simple routines, it´s about creating believeable and lifelike characters, each with it´s own unique characteristics.

Thank you for your support throught the years and we hope you stick with us for the future. This is our last contribution for this summer seasson, but never fear! We are still pushing forward towards our glorious goal and you can bet you will hear from us in the future. In the mean time, this is where we get off.

I can see someone there has a very intimate knowledge of shrinkwrapped pallet stacks.

Hahaha yep! Very intimate. I worked for Starbucks, manufacturing tea for them, for like 7 years. I probably wrapped 30 pallets a day on average.
Before that I worked at a grocery store for 2 years. So had access to produce pallets just like that.

It seems you are largely focusing on Guard Duty but posting on O:BM, What's the reasoning behind this? Or are these screenshots and info mixed?

This particular article post is a mix. It was merely the summer update that was focused on Guard Duty. That does not represent our actual work focus though. It's as simple as the fact that OBM gets more updates than Guard Duty. So we wanted to show something for GD for a change.
